Dixie Stampede began as a dream for world-renowned singer and entertainer Dolly Parton. She opened the first location in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, just outside the entrance to her own theme park, Dollywood. Today, you can also find Dixie Stampede in Branson, Missouri, Myrtle Beach, South Caroline and Orlando, Florida.

Be sure and come early, so you can stroll by the outdoor, open-air, stables and see the stars of the show...the horses! Also, you won't want to miss the exciting Opening Act in the Carriage Room one hour before the main show. Enjoy popcorn, peanuts and a beverage while being entertained. You can enjoy your beverage in a Collector Series Souvenir Boot Mug.

As you enter the 35,000 square foot arena, you are seated to wait for your four course feast. This feast includes a homemade biscuit, original creamy vegetable soup, whoe rotisserie chicken, hickory smoked barbecue pork loin, corn on the cob and herb basted potato wedges. For dessert, you will enjoy an apple turnover, plus all the coffee, tea or Pepsi you like.

As you begin to enjoy your food, you soon hear the low rumble. As it grows louder, you finally see six tons of real live American Buffalo, that lead the stampede into the arena. You will watch an amazing show, which features 32 horses, ostrich races, trick riding and audience participation, all set in a friendly North and South rivalry. Be prepared for clapping and stomping as you cheer for your team to win.

There are many surprises you can expect throughout the show. Dont be surprised if you are chosen to be part of the show!

During the Christmas season, you can enjoy softly falling snow, twinkling lights, evergreens, old-fashioned holiday costumes and holiday music. You will also see a breathtaking view of a live nativity scene. You will also enjoy Elves from the North Pole competing with those from the South Pole. Be sure to cheer for your Elf to win!

It is no wonder that Dixie Stampede is known as "Branson's Most Fun Place to Eat"!
