Perhaps you have a pile of old sweaters that don't fit you anymore. Or, maybe you are like me and you live in Florida so you have no need for those two sweaters hanging in your closet. The good news Is that there is a myriad of crafty things you can make with sweaters.

Sweater Craft #1: Make a sweater pillow.

Sweater pillows are actually really easy to make and add a touch of class to a home design. All you have to do is turn your sweater into a pillow case. The Budget Fashionista has an excellent tutorial for stitching a sweater into a pillow case. If you would like, you can also felt the sweater by machine washing a sweater on a hot/cold setting and then drying them on a cold setting. Repeat this about three times and you will have a felted pillow in no time.

Sweater Craft #2: Make pet clothes.

If you favorite chihuahua needs some new duds look no further than your old sweater. You can easily turn your sweater into the latest in pet fashion with a tutorial from Craft Stylish. This is a great craft because it keeps your pet looking cute, warm, and it doesn't cost you any money at the pet store.
Sweater Craft #3: Make ornaments.

December may be a long ways away but that doesn't mean you can't recycle some of those old sweaters into Christmas Tree ornaments. The best part is they take about 10 seconds to make and you probably have everything you need right at home. Visit Dollar Store Crafts for a great tutorial on 10 second sweater ornaments.
