Nail Strengthener
This one's super easy. All you need is the following:
1 cup milk
microwave safe bowl.
Place the milk inside the bowl and heat it on high for 30 seconds in your microwave. Make sure that it does not boil/burn (you'll notice a funky smell). It should smell sweet and be warm to the touch.
After washing your hands, dry them off with a towel and place your fingers/hands in the bowl of milk. Leave them there for 5 minutes. After your finished, your nails will be stronger, look beautiful and glossy and your hands will be softer. Told you it was easy!
Milk and Rose Bath Soak
Have you ever had one of those days where all you want to do is curl up under the covers and melt away into sweet dreams? Well here's another option! Try diving into a milk and rose infused bathtub. Simply light a few candles, turn on some soft music and inhale...
Here's what you need:
½ cup whole milk
2 tablespoon vodka
a pinch of cinnamon
½ teaspoon Vanilla
½ cup of rose petals
Once you've got everything, the rest is super easy. Draw yourself a nice warm bath. While the bathtub is filling up, make your mixture. In a medium sized bowl, combine the milk and vodka. Mix well. Next, add your vanilla and cinnamon to the milky mixture and stir.
Your bath should be ready to crawl into by this point. Simply pour the mixture into the water and swirl it around until the tub is filled with an opaque liquid! Sprinkle your rose petals on top and climb in. Don't forget to relax!
Peppermint-Milk Cleanse
The idea of mixing milk and mint may sound a little scary, but trust me on this one. It's a wake-up call to your senses and an incredibly easy recipe to make. And it gives you a beautiful glow, to boot! First, gather these items:
1 cup milk
10 drops peppermint oil
½ tsp. Vanilla
Once you've got everything simply combine the ingredients in a small-medium sized bowl. Mix well! Next, place your milk mixture in the refrigerator after you've covered your bowl. Let it sit for approximately 5 hours. This lets the mint/vanilla infuse into the milk.
Once it's infused, dab a little on a cotton ball and rub over your face for 2-3 minutes. Rinse the milk off with warm water. Your face will be glowing and feel soft and refreshed!
Also you can store this item for 3-4 days (as you would regular milk) in the refrigerator. Simply place it into a recycled bottle of your choice and use it whenever needed!
Good luck with this recipes! Let me know how they work out for you. Oh, and check out my other DIY beauty recipes!
