Lavender honey and almond face mask
This recipe is soothing, moisturizing and revitalizing. It's also easy to make and does a fabulous number on your skin! Here's what you need:
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon dried lavender
½ teaspoon almond oil (extra virgin olive oil to substitute)
2 tablespoons almonds
To begin, crush the almonds. The easiest way to do this is by putting them in a small plastic bath and mashing them with a large wooden spoon. Once you've done that, combine your honey, oil lavender in a separate, microwave-safe bowl. Stir well and then heat for 15-20 seconds in the microwave. This allows the soothing smells of the lavender to come out and also makes for a nice, warm treat on your face!
Next, combine the liquid mixture with the almonds and stir well. Apply the warm mixture to your face and let it set for 5 minutes. Rinse away with warm water and splash with cold water to tighten pores. Gently pat dry and admire your glowing skin!
Almond and Avocado Hair treatment
This recipes works as a great moisturizing treatment. Apply it to dry hair be amazed at how silky smooth and moisturized your hair feels afterward. Gather these items:
2 tablespoon's almonds
1 avocado
1 tablespoon olive oil
½ banana
First, crush your almonds (see above). Next, cut your avocado in half and remove the pit. Scoop out the meat and place into a medium to large sized bowl. Cut your banana in half, cut it into small pieces and mash it with the avocado. Add your olive oil to the mixture and stir well until you have a smooth and consistent texture. Lastly, add your crushed almonds and let the mixture set on the counter (covered) for 10-15 minutes. This allows all the ingredients to fuse together and the oil inside the almonds seeps out, as well.
Apply the mixture to your dry hair and let it set for 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water making sure to remove everything (otherwise you'll have an itchy scalp).
