Bet you didn't know that bananas are beneficial to not just your digestive system! That's right! Bananas are great it you want to moisturize and revitalize your dry, tired and dull-hued skin! Here are two wonderful beauty recipes that incorporate bananas into the ingredients. All recipes are 100% original and copyrighted! Here we go!

Coco-Banana Hair Moisturizer

Mmm! Coconuts and bananas into one fabulous beauty recipe! I must be in heaven. Here's what you need for this one:

1 ripe banana

1 medium sized coconut

1 teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil

Once you've gathered all the ingredients, the rest is easy. First, peel your banana and chop it into about 8-10 pieces. Place the banana pieces into a medium sized bowl and mash until you have a smooth and consistent texture.

In a separate bowl, add your extra virgin olive oil. Cut your coconut in half, careful not to let any of the delicious milk inside escape! Pour all of the coconut milk into the bowl with your olive oil. Whip the two together. It may take a few minutes to have a consistent texture, but be patient!

Next, combine your oil/milk mixture with your banana and stir thoroughly. After shampooing your hair, apply this mixture generously. Let it set for 10 minutes (shave while you're waiting!) and then rinse it out with lukewarm water.

Strawberry Banana Exfoliator

This recipe does wonders for dry and dreary skin. The acidic strawberries exfoliate and wipe away dead skin with the banana moisturizes. First, grab all these ingredients:

4 medium strawberries

1 banana

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

½ cup raw sugar (raw sugar is best but you can substitute processed sugar)

First chop your strawberries into fourths and cut your banana into small pieces. Combine the two into a medium-large sized bowl and mash well so that there are no clumps. Add to the mixture the olive oil and stir until it is completely mixed in. After you've got a mixture that is smooth and consistent, add your raw sugar. Mix again until the sugar is evenly dispersed.

Apply this mixture to your body in the shower. Pay careful attention to places where dead skin builds up (like your elbows, knees, heels and ankles). Massage into your skin in a circular motion for 3-5 minutes. Let the mixture set for 3-5 additional minutes and rinse away with warm water. Gently pat dry.
