Homemade Chocolate Brown Wedding Favors for Your Wedding

Making homemade chocolate brown wedding favors is a fun and inexpensive craft to make. You could have some of your girlfriends over and put together all of the favors in one night. This DIY project is easy to do because you are just embellishing ready made bubble favors. The bubble favors used are cute enough on their own but you can add a few extra touches and personalize them for your chocolate brown wedding. Bubbles make a great favor. It will keep little kids busy and even adults have fun blowing bubbles. Wedding pictures with bubbles in them are very pretty.

Time to make: this craft takes about 2 minutes to make each wand. So it depends on how many of this favors you want to make. You could put all of the supplies in a basket and work on a couple every night while you watch TV or knock them out all at once.

Materials:

Bubble Wands: These can be purchased at a craft store or online. If you are going to make a lot of the favors, it might be a good idea to buy online and get a volume discount.

Do an online search and see what types are offered online.

Ribbon: If you find a ribbon that you like. Buy several rolls of it, if you save the receipt and do not open them, you can return them. I liked using the 1 inch wide wired ribbon for

Letter Cut Outs: This could be tricky to acquire. If you have access to circuit cutter, you can make a lot of these letters quickly. If not you'll need to buy a lot of chipboard letters. Also check on ETSY for an artist that could create a label or make letters for you.

Assembling Favors:

  1. Thread a length of ribbon through the little heart on the wand lid. You will want to play around with the length to find the length that you like. Mine was about 4 inches long. Once you find the right length, cut enough ribbon for every favor.
  2. Knot the ribbon at the top. I used a wired ribbon. I liked that I could shape the ribbon. Non-wired ribbon would also work!
  3. Glue letter sticker to the middle of the wand. Letters aren't the only thing that you could use. A cute brown button, a rhinestone, or a custom label could be used to personalize your favor.
Now that you are done, find a cute container to display your favors in. A simple basket or a nice tray would be a good way to present them.
