DIY Green Bridal Bouquet

SDR2010
Green weddings are very popular in the summer because they are associated with nature. This is a time for feeling good and giving off a theme that says happy and healthy to the world. The green wedding theme is one that many new couples select during the warmer months of the year because it has to do with nature and the beauty of simplicity. This is something that should be considered when looking for a wedding bouquet. Because these are typically extremely overpriced when having them created professionally, you should stick to a simplicity approach and design a diy wedding bouquet on your own. It is very easy to create your own bridal bouquets with a little bit of creativity. However, this is the best method to create something that is unique and can't be duplicated by anyone else during their wedding celebration.

A wedding bouquet is typically a small collection of flowers that the bride carries and then throws into a small gathering of women. They hope to retrieve the flowers as a sign that their day may soon arrive. Make sure that your bouquet is unique by not using flowers for this piece but flower stems. This is a unique idea that will keep with the simple theme and is perfect for a green wedding. First, you will need to collect about 20 flowers with stems of about 1 inch thick each. You can use almost any flower but I have used sunflowers. Set the flowers down on a cutting board and cut off the flower portion in order to leave the steam for each flower. Next, you should clean these stems and trim off and pieces that appear to be excess. Trim each of the stems so that they are the same length and place them into a pot or bowl. Anything that will allow the stems to stand as normal is fine. Next, you will need to group the stems into a bunch and create the look of a bouquet. You can use a green ribbon to hold the stems together and pull them out of the pot. Next, you simply remove the stems from the pot and wrap them with any color of tissue paper. Be sure to use about one foot of tissue paper to wrap the arrangement and tuck the paper in at the bottom to avoid any slipping issues with the stems.
