This pom pom Christmas tree makes an awesome homemade centerpiece for the coffee table or dining room table. Many of the craft materials used to make this simple Christmas tree are recycled, so invest your money in the nice green pom ribbon from the craft store.

You can make this simple pom pom Christmas tree centerpiece in many different sizes, just substitute out a different sized bottle then the 2 liter Coke Bottle.

To Make a Pom Pom Tree Centerpiece for Christmas You Will Need:

Coke bottle

Foam sheets

Pom pom ribbon

Hot glue

Free colored pom pom balls

Sand

You may want to put a little sand in the bottom of your coke bottle to ad a little weight.

Now, take your sheet of green fun foam and cut it out so that it is about three inches taller than your Coke Bottle.

Wrap the green fun foam around the Coke Bottle in a cone shape. Trim off any excess where the fun foam overlaps. Run a bead of hot glue to glue the fun foam into the cone shape.

This cone should be resting on the Coke bottle and stay that way. By the way, if you have some green felt and some craft weight interfacing, then iron them together. This will be really sturdy and can be used in place of the green fun foam.

Now, take your ribbon of green pom poms. Star tat the top of the green cone and place a dab of glue on the end of the ribbon. Hot glue will be best.

Press the end of the ribbon into the top of the cone (Christmas tree). Now, start wrapping the pom pom ribbon around the cone working yoru way down. Add glue as you go and press it into place.

You can wrap this as tightly or space out as you want. The closer the pom pom ribbons, the more ball like the tree will be.

Once you reach the bottom of the green cone Christmas tree trim off the excess, tuck the rough end of ribbon under the cone and glue it down.

Now, you have all the green parts of your pompom Christmas tree fished. Now, for the little details.

You can use free pom pom balls in many colors to add ornaments to the pom pom tree. Simply ad some hot glue on the back of the colored pom pom balls and press them into place on the Christmas tree centerpiece.

One large yellow or gold pom pom on top can be the star!

This is just the cutest pom pom Christmas tree that can be used as a centerpiece!
