Mirrors are a great option to give your interior space that polished look. Using a full length mirror will give the illusion of extra space and it can also be used as a dressing mirror.

In case you have a small bedroom without sufficient natural light, you could try doing a mirrored closet door installation as this will certainly help in brightening up the room. These closet doors are available in plenty of styles and designs. The installation process is pretty simple and you can do it yourself with the help of any of the DIY kits that are available.

There are two types of mirrored closet doors that are available in the market. One is the sliding closet door and the other is the hinged variety. The other type is the Bi-fold closet doors, but that requires a lot of skills and is difficult to install. In order to cut down on the mirrored closet door installation, some people try to attach full length mirrors on their existing doors. However, this is a not a great idea despite the fact that it is cost effective. This has potential risks as it may crack or break if not fixed properly. Instead you could follow the step-by-step DIY guide and do the installation yourself.

To do your mirrored closet door installation, start by measuring the dimensions of the closet. There are standard kits available, so you will find one easily if the closet door is of a standard size. You have to first lay the track that is given in the kit, at the bottom of your closet and use the hand-held drill and fix the screws onto the floor and tighten them. Now, install the rollers and ensure that they move smoothly. Follow the same method to install the tracks on the inside edge of your closet opening. Then hang mirrored doors between the two tracks and ensure that the rollers are snapped into the track. Now, check and see if these doors slide well on the tracks. The doors should not make squeaky noises or get stuck. They should move freely. Now, your mirrored closet door installation is done.
