Gluing photos on a firm base is quite easy technique of photo collage. You can make pendants, rings, lockets, earrings and other Jewelry items using this technique and this way you can create a very unique piece of Jewelry. You can decide the size and shape, which picture to collage onto your Jewelry item all by yourself. Either make your own beaded chains or cooper rings or you can simply use the photo collage technique on your old fashioned Jewelry to give it a new look.
To begin, the materials you would require include;
Glue: make sure that you choose the right glue that is durable and strong so that your collage doesn't come out after some time. Glue which is strong and dries clear to give your collage a clear look.
Jewelry Item: choose the piece of Jewelry that you want to use for photo collage. It can be a pendant, locket, earrings, ring, bands, brooch or any other item. Use either a readymade item or make one for yourself. Or either use your broken Jewelry to repair it and make it new as well. you can use gold Jewelry, silver, imitation or any other material as well.
Photo: choose photo or photos of your choice that you want to use for your collage project.
Accessories: you can use accessories like; beads, pearls, glitter or other things that you want to use to decorate your photo collage Jewelry or can keep it simple.
Sealer: a sealer is use to make the collage durable. As a sealer you can use a Jewelry polish, or lacquer or other Jewelry varnish.
To begin with, after selecting all the above mentioned items first arrange everything in order. For example if you are making a pendant, place the selected photo on to the pendant base and ensure that you have placed it right. Then arrange any other accessories that you want to put on to your pendant. After you are finished arranging and satisfied with your arrangement start gluing everything on to your pendant. Glue the photo and then any other accessory that you want on your pendant. Keep the arrangement simple so that it is easy for you to glue.
Try to use glue which dries clear, that is, no marks or stains appear after the glue dries out because otherwise it would ruin your collage. When you are finished gluing, let the pendant dry for 24 hours or more to ensure firm results. When the pendant dries out, use any kind of Jewelry polish, varnish or lacquer to seal the collage and give it a polished look.
You can make other Jewelry items using the photo collage method in the similar way as described above items like; bracelets, earrings, lockets, rings, tops and other items.
