Let's create a Paper Scarecrow!

What you need:

Brown paper lunch bags

Tacky Glue

Wiggle Eyes

Ribbon (2 feet of fall colors)

Old Newspapers

Black Marker

Scissors

Construction paper

Magnets

Directions:

Set up your table by placing some old newspaper onto the table. This will ensure the tacky glue and markers don't leave marks on your table. Once this is done, you are ready to begin making your paper bag scarecrow.

First you want to create a face on the construction paper and cut out. This can be as creative as you want to get. Scarecrow faces can be scary, smiling, or frowning. Get creative. Once you've created the face, use the tacky glue to add the wiggle eyes to the scarecrows. Now glues the scarecrow face onto the front of the brown lunch bag.

Now that the face is finished you want to add the legs and feet. Take your construction paper and use a green or red piece to cut out the pants and shoes. The shoes can be fancy or low key. You decide. Once you're finished, glue the pants and feet onto the brown paper bag as well. You know have created a paper bag scarecrow!

To finish off the scarecrow, you need to make a hat. You can cut this out using an old hat as a sample. You just want to make sure the scarecrow's head is covered for those really hot days! Once you've cut out the scarecrow hat, glue this on top of the scarecrow's head.

Glue the magnets on the back scarecrow. Four magnets on each corner of the scarecrow will work perfectly.
