DIY Snooki Bump

Do you love watching Snooki on Jersey Shore? Are you an aspiring guidette? While Snooki fans admire the reality television star's feisty attitude, they have also fallen in love with her signature hairstyle: the Snooki bump. After several years of styling her hair the same way, the hair bump is now a cinch for Snooki. But many Jersey Shore fans have a difficult time emanating the distinctive poof. If you want your very own Snooki bump, follow the steps below. You'll look like a guidette in no time!

Gather Hair Products and Tools

To get the Snooki hair bump, you'll need high-strength hairspray, a teasing comb and several Bobby pins. It may also help to have a hair tie handy, in case you want to tie back the rest of your hair while working on the Snooki bump. Snooki often holds her hair bump in place with a clip, which serves as a decorative accent and fashion accessory.

Snooki wears her hair stick straight, which means that curly and wavy-haired girls will need to use a flat-iron to straighten their hair before creating a Snooki bump.

Sprayed and Teased Hair

The Snooki hair bump relies on massive amounts of hairspray. Take the front two inches of hair (if you have bangs, leave them down and start with the hair right behind the bangs) and hold it up towards the ceiling. Spray the front section thoroughly. Tease the sprayed section by pulling a fine-toothed teasing comb from the ends to the roots. Once the teased hair begins to look really snarled, douse it with another layer of hairspray before moving on to the next two-inch section. You should continue to spray and back-comb until the teased hair extends to your crown.

Smooth and Pin

At this point, your hair should look extremely ratty. Use a comb to smooth out a thin layer on top of the teased hair. Once the Snooki bump looks smooth and sleek, it is time to pin or clip it into place. Gather the ends of the teased hair into a small ponytail and twist it. You can either place a hair clip around the twist, or you can use Bobby pins to secure it. If you decide to pin your hair, make an "X" with two pins at the base of the Snooki hair bump. Use additional pins to as necessary to further secure hair. End the styling session with a final spritz of hairspray and a Jersey Shore fist pump.
