DIY Summer Wedding Invitations

Weddings are usually the biggest event expense of a couple's life, so it's no wonder that many couples look for ways to cut costs wherever possible. However, when cutting costs, of course you don't want to cut the quality too much! Summer is a popular season for weddings, with a variety of different themes available. An easy way to cut costs for your summer wedding is by creating your own, do-it-yourself, wedding invitations. First, make sure you have made a decision or approximation of how many people you are inviting to your wedding. Then, search for the products - paper, envelopes, designs, themes, styles, wording, etc. - that you want to use. Your calculation of the number of guests will then help you to find the most affordable DIY option for your summer wedding invitations. Upon deciding on your products and design, simply gather all your information and create your own summer wedding invitations!

Here are some tips for making the process go as easily and quickly as possible:

- Simply use blank cards, which can be designed completely to your specifications. You can choose the writing and designs you want. Decorate them however you like!
- Your local copy shop may be able to help you get your writing or text onto the paper and may help with folding or cropping the invitations.
- You can buy blank wedding invitations and just print onto them whatever you wish.
- You can buy a DIY wedding invitation kit - that will make assembly easy and simple!

These sites provide various DIY wedding invitation supplies and kits - many perfect for a summer wedding:
