Top DIY Tips for Cleaning a White Porcelain Sink

Use Bleach to Clean your White Porcelain Sink

Bleach has become my new best friend. I try to bleach my sink every few days as this keeps my porcelain sink nice and white. If you hate the smell of bleach, keep reading as I have more tips for those bleach haters. For me, I love bleach as I never have to worry about my sink being non-white. A beautiful sink is as easy as a little loving care--plus bleach!

Rinse Sink Clean after Use

This tip seems rather easy but really is one of the most important tips. We all get busy but if you can remember to rinse out your white sink after every use, you will avoid the rainbow of colors that often come with leftover food remains in a sink. Use a rag to do a quick rinse after use, and you will continue to have a squeaky white sink!

Clean Daily

Did I mention I am OCD with my white porcelain sink? Maybe I want to prove those negative people wrong. Maybe I just love my white sink. The truth is that there is nothing more relaxing and fun than cleaning my sink. Every evening, I just do a quick rinse and clean my sink with soap. Not only is this relaxing, but I can enjoy how white my porcelain sink is!

Vinegar is Good for Stains

Sometimes, we can't avoid the stains which pop up in our sinks. For these times, don't panic. Soak the stained area in vinegar and water. After about thirty minutes, scrub the area until cleaned. If the stain is persistent, soak the rag in vinegar and then scrub some more. Your stain will come up eventually!

Baking Soda Works!

Most women have baking soda in the kitchen. For a quick remedy for stains or a quick kitchen sink cleaning, make a mixture of baking soda and water. Make this into a paste and scrub your skin like there's no tomorrow! You will love how clean your white porcelain sink will be!

Tip: For troublesome stains, make a mixture of baking soda and water and scrub into stain. Reply as often as needed until stain is removed.

Tip: Vinegar, Baking Soda, and water mixed together can become a wonderful air freshener for the kitchen, bathroom, or any other room in the house. Just keep a spray bottle handy and add the vinegar (1 teaspoon), baking soda (1 teaspoon), and water (1 cup). Mix together and spray at your leisure!
