With Christmas just around the corner your probably already starting to fill overwhelmed. You have enough to worry about, and plan without having to think about outdoor decorations. There is no reason why you can have a festive yard, even if you don't have much money to work with. There are plenty of ways to decorate your yard for Christmas without spending a fortune. Here are a few easy tips to aid you one your way to a winter wonderland yard.

Do you live where it snows? Nothing says winter like a snowman. For the holidays you can make an entire snowman family with your family. Dress your snowman is Christmas colors such as reds, and greens. You can even make caroling snowmen, by having them hold a book that you can fashion out of laminated cardboard.

How about presents? You can easily wrap a few old boxes in wrapping paper, and stack them in the yard. Stack them around your snowman if you have one. You can even stack faux packages by the front door, garage door, or beside the mailbox. These are easy to make, and fun to look at. If you live where it snows be sure to spray them with a sealer.

Do you have an old artificial tree? Old artificial Christmas trees might have lost there purpose indoors, but they can still be used outdoors. You can even stack some of your faux packages underneath the tree. Use plastic bulb decorations, or string a popcorn chain to decorate it. Birds love eating the popcorn. You can even use outdoor lights to brighten it up.

Have a large box? By using large boxes such as the ones stoves, or refrigerators come in you can easily make a gingerbread house for your lawn. Use items such as painted paper plates, and paper cups to make candy decorations for your house. This is a project the entire family can enjoy.

Know anyone that has a leftover sheet of plywood from a recent project? By cutting a sheet of plywood in half, adding hinges in the middle, painting and decorating it, you can make your own extra large lawn Christmas card. You can even write a personalize message such as " Merry Christmas from the _________ family".

These are all simple ways to decorate you lawn on a budget for the holidays. Finding cheap short cuts such as these will not only save you money, it will also decrease the stress load that comes with the holidays. Remember to be creative, and have a Merry Christmas.
