Heart Shaped Cookie Cutters

Tags (wedding date, bride and groom names on them)
The best tags will be made out of heavy weighted cardstock and include basic wedding information including the date and time of the wedding as well as the names of the bride and groom.

DIY Outdoor Wedding Favors Birdseed Hearts Step 1: Begin by creating tags to be placed on the birdseed wedding favors. These can be printed on the computer or hand written. The tags should be no more than ½ the size of the birdseed favor.

DIY Outdoor Wedding Favors Birdseed Hearts Step 2: Using the cookie cutter, begin by laying it flat on a baking sheet. Fill the cookie cutter one half way with bird seed. Make sure that the seed covers the entire bottom of the heart shaped cookie cutter.

DIY Outdoor Wedding Favors Birdseed Hearts Step 3: Cut a piece of twine that is 3 inches long and thread the tag onto the twine.

DIY Outdoor Wedding Favors Birdseed Hearts Step 4: Fold the twine and tie the two ends together to create a loop.

DIY Outdoor Wedding Favors Birdseed Hearts Step 5: Place the looped end of the twine into the center top of the heart seed filled cookie cutter. Make sure that the wedding tag stays free of the birdseed as there will be peanut butter placed on top of the seed in the next step.

DIY Outdoor Wedding Favors Birdseed Hearts Step 6: Using the peanut butter, spoon a layer on top of the birdseed inside the cookie cutter.

DIY Outdoor Wedding Favors Birdseed Hearts Step 7: Cover the peanut butter with birdseed to fill the heart cookie cutter entirely. Gently smash the seed into the peanut butter and then place the filled cookie cutter and pan into the refrigerator. This will allow the heart shaped wedding favors to stiffen up. Keep refrigerated until the wedding day!

I was running short on time so instead of making these myself, I had someone else do it for me. I was very pleased with the quality of the favors and the service I received. I highly recommend them.
