DJ Vows Not to Bathe Until Sanjaya Voted Off American Idol

As an American Idol addict, I have been as puzzled as the next person as to why Sanjaya is still on American Idol when it's obvious he can't sing. A DJ out of Little Rock, Arkansas, Jason Cage, has vowed not to bathe until he's voted off.

Sanjaya Malakar is a 17-year-old from Federal Way, Washinton, whose journey began as he auditioned, along with his sister, and was told by Simon that he "was the better of the two." Actually, when he sang in the audition, I actually thought he did very well. He's gone downhill from there. Each week, viewers cring when this Michael Jackson wannabe gets up to sing his selected song. He sashays around like a girl, with hair to match, and only the twelve and thirteen year olds in the audience appear to like it. This week, one young girl even burst into tears and sobbed during his whole performance. Simon remarked, "This girl's reaction tells it all." He certainly made the rest of us want to cry, too, or worse.

A DJ out of Little Rock, named Jason Cage has vowed not to bathe until Sanjaya is voted off. He said he's already gotten quite a "stink" on, and it will only get worse as we wait for next week's viewer voting. When asked why he chose such a stinky way to strike, he said, "A hunger strike would hurt me, but a bathing strike will hurt everyone!" He coined the phrase "Sanvagina" for the singer, and like most of us, is puzzled as to why the singer continues to get votes.

Will Jason influence anyone with this new kind of strike? Well, he was the same DJ who founded the websites FeedLindsey.com and DivorceKevin.com, which urged Lindsey Lohan to eat because she looked anorexic and urged Brittney to dump Kevin. Both seemed to have worked, as Brittney filed for divorce and Lindsey Lohan is looking much healthier these days. We can only hope the Sanjaya ploy produces the same results.

As Idol is moving to it's Top Ten tour, Sanjaya is still hanging in there, as his competitors drop one by one. Although the favorites still tend to be Melinda and Jordin in the polls, Sanjaya is still not in the bottom, even though most people are certain each week will be his last. One idol viewer remarked, "I'm dumbfounded to see him make it this long. He can't sing. He is an embarrassment to watch. What is America thinking?" The final winner will be chosen in May.
