DMX on Celebrity Rehab

Rapper DMX (Earl Simmons) is in big trouble. On March 9, 2010, he was arrested in Arizona for violating the terms of his probation by using illegal drugs. But this arrest is just another in a long line of DMX's trouble with the law. With all these charges, DMX may be in for a long stay in jail. However, there is one man that may be able to help him out: Dr. Drew Pinsky.

With this long line of offenses, DMX has served two short stints in jail. His 2000 arrest landed him in jail for 15 days, and in 2005 he was sentenced to 70 days in jail. In addition, DMX also spent time in rehab in 2002 for his ongoing drug problems.

This long line of legal trouble, jail time and drug problems is why, according to TMZ, DMX is reaching out to Dr. Drew. DMX wants Dr. Drew to help him avoid jail time just like he helped Jessica Sierra (from American Idol). In Sierra's case, Dr. Drew arranged through the court for her to come to his Celebrity Rehab show to treat her drug problems rather than serve time for it. TMZ also reports that DMX's attorney has been speaking to representatives for Celebrity Rehab in hopes that he can save DMX from prison and help him with his drug use that seems to be wrecking his life.

According to TMZ, DMX is currently being held with no bond, and his court appearance is scheduled for March 16. If Dr. Drew is going to save him, he will have to show up to convince the judge that his Celebrity Rehab is the best choice to address DMX's problems.
