Larry Birkhead emerged victorious from a closed courtroom hearing in Nassau, Bahamas on Tuesday, April 10, 2007. He is quoted as saying "I hate to say this, but I told you so!" He also is said to have commented, "My baby's going to be coming home pretty soon."

A DNA test confirmed that Birkhead, the late Anna Nicole Smith's former boyfriend, is the father of her daughter Dannielyn with a 99.99% certainty. A Bahamian judge ordered the test to settle a paternity battle between Birkhead and Howard K. Stern, Smith's lawyer and long time companion. Stern is listed on Dannielyn's birth certificate as her father.

Dannielyn was born to the former Playboy playmate on September 7, 2006. Smith's 20-year-old son Daniel tragically passed away just three days later. Smith died in a Florida hotel room in February of 2007 at the age of 39. But the paternity battle had begun before little Dannielyn was even born. Although paternity has been established, there is still the decision to be made of who will receive custody of Dannielyn Hope.

While Stern has now stated he will no longer contest custody of Dannielyn, Smith's mother Virgie Arthur has indicated that she may do just that, adding, "All I care about is the safety and well-being of my little granddaughter." A hearing has been scheduled for Friday, April 13, 2007 to discuss who will raise Dannielyn.

In an odd turn of events, Stern has said he will do whatever he can to see to it that Birkhead is granted full legal custody of Dannielyn, who stands to inherit millions of dollars. Stern has invited Birkhead to come to his house, where Dannielyn is currently living, and see her whenever he likes.

    I wasn't surprised by the results here, either. I just wish that Virgie Arthur would move on and that Dannielynn would have a fair shot at a "normal" life.

    Considering the "committed" relationship Anna Nicole and Howard Stern were supposedly in, according to Howard Stern himself that is, that makes him now look pretty foolish having another man's DNA in "his" baby !!!

    It's therefore not surprising Howard K Stern has tried to sabotage DNA testing and everything else venturing too close to the truth for as long as he can legally draw anything out or get around, but time's up as everything he has been trying to cover up is now unravelling before his very eyes.
    I wonder how much longer Ben G.Thompson lets him live in the Bahamas house now, as he said all along if Howards DNA does not show up in Dannielynn, he's out of the house !!!!

    Awesome reporting. I knew that Howard K. Stern wasn't the father. I used to watch the Anna Nicole Smith show, and she constantly pushed him away. I do not believe that they ever slept together as he did absolutely nothing for her. Besides, if they were truly a couple as he states, then why did he allow her to constantly date other men? The guy is just full of wishful thinking, and living in a fantasy world.
