Do You Also Wish that You Are Financially Rich?

In a forum where I am currently a member, there was discussion about our attitude towards money. And someone said that he continues to earn money despite being financially rich right now because of the power that it wields.

Wow, I sure do hope that I can say that.

Don't get me wrong. I live a happy life with a blessed marriage, a supportive family, and wonderful friends. Most of all, I have a God who is over and on top of everything. We have what we need, and we work for the money that we earn. We are very rich indeed in other aspects of life.

Bbut we cannot exactly say that we are wealthy, that is, in terms of money. I cannot say that I am a millionaire in our currency, because we don't have that much money. However, we do have enough for our daily needs, just not to live luxuriously.

There is nothing wrong with that, and all that we have is already a blessing from God, but sometimes, I do think of wanting to get rich. The point is not really enriching myself to live in luxury. Although I really know how to live in style. But in general, I am a very simple person. I have far many other concerns, like supporting missionaries and helping needy people. And of course, supporting my family, as we will soon be 3. (that is another blessing) My husband and I live frugally.

And maybe it is also the thought of having that much figures to your name. I am well aware that this will not matter in eternity. But well, it is just a wish and it wouldn't hurt to have it granted. :-)
