Although I respect the beliefs of fellow Christians, I have an explanation and an answer for anyone who says our animals won't be in Heaven when we pass on to everlasting life. I dearly love all of the animals I've cared for during my lifetime - from the wild birds and squirrels that visit my feeders to my precious pets, and I expect all of my beloved pets to be waiting for me in Heaven when my life on earth is through. Specific passages in the Holy Bible tell us that animals are in Heaven, and this is a comfort to those who want to know they'll see their beloved pets again.
Animals Mentioned in Heaven
God dearly loves all of the animals of the earth, and the following Bible passage specifically mentions animals in heaven. Isaiah 65:25 says, "The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the Lord."
The Book of Revelation 5:13 also mentions animals in heaven. It says, "And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever."
These are just a couple of Bible verses that mention animals in Heaven, and many Bible verses refer to them and how special they are to God. Our Heavenly Father says he cares when a single sparrow falls. We are to properly care for the creatures of this earth, and God clearly does care for all animals or they wouldn't be mentioned as often as they are in the Holy Bible. I don't believe that God wouldn't want his precious creatures to enjoy everlasting life in Heaven.
Souls Not Required
It's said that animals don't have souls, but do they really need souls to enter Heaven? I don't think so. People have been given free will, and this allows them to choose whether or not to serve and love the Lord. Animals aren't sinful like human beings, and they're pure at heart. It was man that fell into sin, not animals, and they were lovingly placed on this earth for a variety of reasons. The animals of the earth follow their God-given instincts, and I truly believe they understand the love of God and know that life is everlasting.
The Passing of My Beloved Pets
Many years ago I had a cat named Ginger who I loved dearly. She was only seven years old when her life was tragically taken, and I was devastated by the loss of my four-legged family member and dear friend. The day after Ginger passed away, I know with certainty that I heard the sound of her feet hitting the floor after jumping down from the chair in the kitchen. I felt her presence in my home for a couple of days after her passing, and I believe with all of my heart that because I loved her and she brought pleasure to my life that she will be in Heaven with me when it's my time to leave this earth.
Just a few years ago my dog Jasmine passed away from advanced kidney failure, and when she died I was devastated. I grieved as if I had lost a human member of my family. Like all dogs, her love was unconditional, and she always knew when I was feeling down. Unlike some of the human beings I've trusted and allowed into my life, Jasmine never let me down. For days after she died I heard her barking when I'd come home or when someone knocked on the door, and as each day passed, the sounds of her barking became more and more distant until I could no longer hear her. I believe she went on to wait for me in Heaven, and I know I will see her and all of the other animals I loved once again.

Post a CommentMy black chao-chao dog Tori has recently gone to heaven. I deliberately write this "to heaven" instead of "died". The wound is fresh and is aching terribly. But Lord has comforted me and still does. And I'd like so much to share with some scripture - As Thou hast given Him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life toas many as thou hast given Him John 17:2. I would never by myself choose this verse. But what a depth in it. For all who is in doubt if they will see or not their beloved pets, meditate about this verse not religiously but if Jesus was your best friend and He is speaking right now this to you. Plus all these places - Hosea 2:18, Isaiah 42:20, Revelation 4:9, Revelation 5:13. Shalom to all.
I believe not only pets, but that babies will go to heaven. As soon as God entered into a relationship with Abraham, he brought Isaac into it, when Isaac was still an infant and didn't have an understanding of what was going on. God in fact knew before Isaac was even born. Before he was even a fetus. We also see David's situation in the Old Testament when his infant child dies. Yet David is given the confidence that he will see that child again in heaven in the Psalms. That story of David and his dying child is tremendous consolation for parents who have lost infants to death. In II Sam 12:23, David had just lost his young, infant son. He stated clearly that "I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me." So clearly, there will be babies in Heaven. Including David's own and many, many others.
My Dog Bart passed away 5 years ago,but he refuses to leave me.He jumps up on my bed all the time.He is a Rottweiler so there is no mistaking this as his wieght rocks my bed.In the morning if I get up and them try going back to sleep he gets upset and nudges me until I get out of bed.I can even feel him do his circle and lay down.I waited for a full moon and took pictures and finally got his ghost in several pictures;his inner parts are white looks simular to clouds or smoke;his skin and fur are black.I can see through only the black, through to my pillow. He is also wearing his collar!!I took a holiday and while laying down in my Motel he jumped up on the bed-hehe!When this first started to happen it freaked me out,and I thought my house was haunted;but I contacted a medium and she knew right away.According to her this is very common. So all you people who have lost a pet do not worry, you will see them again;I peronally gaurantee this.
Geez Jeff, than we should all just off ourselves right now if there's nothing to look forward to. How inspiring.
Here's the thing...God said it, I believe it and that should settle it buuuuut, unfortunately it doesn't with some but that's okay! They can believe what they want...To me it is a FACT that there is a God and a heaven and hell and that my baby Bichon will be there waiting for me. I keep waiting for him to come back now because I am not sure how long I can wait in this toilet of a world. Other than my loved ones and the Joy of knowing Jesus...beyond that there isn't anything but bickering and people cutting me off in traffic and everyone else and name calling because someone doesn't agree with what you have to say, pollution because people CHOOSE to trash our world...I'd go on but I'm already getting everyone depressed.
On a much positive note: I am a Christian who believes that the bible is FACT and that Animals Will go to heaven...Love you all...enuff said. Peace!
I came across this piece after I posted a story with similar ideas. I have owned dogs my entire life and I have always been very sad when their time came to go, and one little bit of solace is the idea of seeing them again someday. I am glad there are plenty of other people out there who feel the same way. This is a great article.
God is a fair and just god he loves all of his creation and if he loved animals enough to make them don't you think he loves them enough to allow them into Heaven? If they were important enough for him to make them don't you think they are important enough for him to allow them into heaven? Animals (cats, dogs, etc) are the sinless ones they don't rape, kill, steel, etc. they don't take gods name in vane. they don't need to be saved because they are already saved they are sinless. animals are the ones that have the guaranteed spot in heaven. we need to be saved because we are sinful. so I believe that if god loves humans that are sinful to allow them into heaven he must love the animals (cats, dogs, etc) the ones that are sinless to allow them into heaven. God wouldn't have made animals if they weren't important to him. And sense they are important to him they must have a purpose in heaven. Maybe to help God or keep him and us happy. They are worth a spot in heaven a lot more than us.
One last comment. I thought I explained myself well enough on Linda's article, but instead I was judged on Linda's article because of a comment left by an athiest on my article. I stand by my belief that I DO NOT have to agree with an athiest. He can be as different as he wants, and I won't bother him at all. As far as religions go, I have always believed that different religions are simply a different road to the same place, and I DID NOT JUDGE ANYONE. Those who really know me, know better. I won't ask an athiest ridiculous questions about his disbelief on his articles and try to start trouble. I agree to differ, but I will never agree with an athiest - especially on my article on pets in Heaven, and I DO NOT apologize for it.
Thank you Secret!
