Do Cyber Christmas Deals Put a Stress on Internet Service Providers?
Tips Included for Preparing Yourself for Internet Service Dropouts While Shopping
Does all the cyber shopping for the best deals online put a strain on Internet service providers? Are people so tired of the crowds in the stores, they are taking to the web to get the best deals? Are people that lazy that they can't get out of the house to Christmas shop?
Since Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, I have seen my Internet service drop out at least a dozen times throughout the day. I hadn't thought about what could be causing the issue until now. All the drop outs made me wonder if people had become so accustomed to finding great deals online that their choices of shopping sites online are stressing out the servers for everyone's Internet provider.
There are some great deals online, I won't deny that, but is it worth it to have your service drop out in the middle of the purchase? I'm not so sure it is. It makes it to be similar to standing in the long lines at the stores when a shopper has to start over when making their choices and paying online when they've lost connection.
How to get around the lost connection?
Honestly you can't get around the lost connection while shopping online, but you can save yourself plenty of headaches by using these tips.
Save to the Shopping Cart
Saving as many times as your shopping cart will allow you to do so can help you not start over each time your connection drops out. Pick your item, stick in the shopping cart, and move on as if you are in a brick and mortar store.
Check out before midnight
Since most online retailers have their savings setup from midnight to midnight, buy your items later in the evening before midnight.
Check sites for sales on Cyber Monday beforehand
Take a sneak peak at what sites have the list of gifts before starting out on your online venture shopping attack. On Monday, put the items in your carts as you shop and check out once you have all items in your cart.
Be sure to check your connection before checking out so all your information goes through. Get a confirmation page at the end of your shopping experience and print it out in the event you lost connection at this point.
Print out or copy and paste your coupon codes before shopping
This can be the biggest headache saver of all while shopping online without internet service outages.
