There I was standing in the hair care aisle at Wal-Mart, stunned by all the choices staring back at me. I mean, I always knew that there were a lot of choices, but I had never in my life bothered to look through them. I would simply pick up the cheapest brand I could find, not even looking to see what it smelled like. If it washed my hair and conditioned it a little, it was good enough for me. As I browsed through, I saw shampoo and conditioner for thick hair, fine hair, curly hair, straight hair, oily hair, anything but damaged hair. There were even choices to give your hair more volume, make it softer, or give it more shine. None of which I needed.
Finally, however, I found it! In a lovely pink bottle coming from L'Oreal Paris was the NEW pearl protein complex, Vive Pro. nutri gloss shampoo and conditioner for medium to long hair that's damaged. At last, the key word that I had been searching for. It was the only thing I found for damaged hair, so I pretty much had to buy it or let my poor hair suffer. For about four dollars a bottle, I wasn't thrilled with the price, but it definitely beat the ten dollars a bottle I would have had to spend at a salon. Now for the big question, would it work?
Since I bought it the same day I got my hair cut and colored, (Oh yeah, make that ten times in the past twelve months.) I waited a couple days before washing it. I have to admit, I was excited about my new shampoo and conditioner. I spent like four times the amount on each bottle than I normally do, so splurging like that was an amazing experience for me, and I have to say that using this product was, too.
As I got to the rinse part of my shampoo, I was running my fingers through my hair. It felt like silk. It made me think my hair didn't have any damage, how could damaged hair feel so amazing? Now, in small print at the bottom of the bottles, it boasts in shiny letters "mirror shine, cashmere touch," and it really did have that cashmere touch, and not just in the shower either. Even after my hair dried, it still felt amazing. This was with just one wash! The conditioner was the same as the shampoo, it simply made my hair feel wonderful while using it and I'm sure it helped work its magic once it dried as well. It was true with the 'mirror shine' as well. There was no down side with this product what-so-ever and if I keep using it, hopefully I will no longer have damaged hair. With my new shampoo and conditioner revelation, I have to say, no more 88-cent shampoo and conditioners for me. L'Oreal Paris now has a permanent spot in my shower.

Post a CommentNot salon colored. I color it.
You'll pay to have your hair salon colored TEN times in a year, but buy cheap shampoo. Ridiculous, you deserve to have damaged hair. As Kimmy says, this stuff has sulfate in it, a HUGE no no for bleached, damaged, colored hair!
It has sulfates in it which means it strips alot of natural oils from hair. I would try something without sulfates, especially on colored hair. The color will last longer, and you'll find yourself using less conditioner to get the same great condition in your hair. Just a suggestion.
I was interested in the product that you used on your hair and liked so much. What is the name of it. I would like to try it. Thanks
