Do You Drive a GM Car? GM Issues Recall for Over a Million Vehicles

Aziza Shumba
General Motors has now issued a recall to over a million trucks and SUV's that contain windshield wiper fluid that could be highly flammable. They plan to pay the drivers of these vehicles $100 in return for this mistake and plan to fix it. For anyone out there that is driving any of the affected models from 2007-2009, it is advised to take it back to the dealership so that the heated windshield wiper fluid feature can be disabled. This could be extremely dangerous for not only the owners of these models, but for everyone else out on the road. If a fire errupts from a vehicle, then it could have devasting results for the many surrounding cars on the road. This problem should be fixed immediately.

I believe that it will be hard to get all of the owners of these vehicles to come in because some people do not begin to worry about things until something happens. It's hard to a 100% recall, but any is better than none. The affected GM models are as follows:

2006-2009 model year Buick Lucerne
Cadillac DTS
Hummer H2
2008-2009 model year Buick Enclave
Cadillac CTS
2007-2009 model year Cadillac Escalade
Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT
Chevrolet Avalanche
Silverado
Suburban
Tahoe
GMC Acadia
Sierra
Yukon
Yukon XL
Saturn Outlook
2009 model year Chevrolet Traverse

If you own or lease any of these models, then head to your GM dealership immediately to get compensation and to remove the hazardous fluid from your car.
