Do Your Kids Appreciate You?

Melanie Lankford
If you fall somewhere in here than it's true your kids appreciate you. Here are 10 sure fire ways to know you are appreciated at home.

1. The baby cries at the bathroom door, as if you may never come out, every time you step in and close the door.

2. Your 3 year old says you are his best mommy, and you thought you were his only mommy, hum...?

3. Your 7 year old says he can't do his math homework without you because he really needs your fingers and toes.

4. The baby always knows you are about to eat and is suddenly starving, regardless of the fact he just ate a grown up size bowl of oatmeal, and proceeds to eat your breakfast for you.

5. Your 3 year old comes bounding out of the bathroom, bends over butt naked, in front of your dinner guests and says he needs you to wipe is bum bum.

6. Your 7 year old can't wait for you to get back from the grocery store with the ketchup, so he can cover up the taste of the dinner you just spent an hour cooking.

7. The baby rearranges your cupboards just so he can watch you put it all back.

8. Your 3 year old can't go to slip without you getting him six glasses of water and reading his favorite book at least 3 times.

9. Your 7 year old says you can only walk him to his classroom if you promise not to cook anything healthy for dinner tonight.

10. There is always a dirty diaper, thirsty kid, and a boxing match every time you answer the phone.

If you still do not feel appreciated after all that you haven't figured out parenting yet. Enjoy the moments because they are but glimpses in our lives.
