On and on the lights come, no end in sight
Looking around the night turns to day, to dusk, to a starry twilight
Images reflected in broken mirrors, shattered glass, so ends each flight
Crimson stains call out, pleading for wrong to be made right
Emerging evidence suggests, and so begins the whisper's, so lingers the bloody sight
Walking along aimlessly, carelessly how silent do our tears freeze
Overlooking common sense, words are spoken in haste, grasping looking for something to seize.
Reams of memories torn from our depths, how long must that night wheeze?
Knives sharpened upon stains of blood that forever calls out; will you not help me please?
Images reflected in shard pieces of glass, waiting watching to see, who lay's at ease?
Nights brighten as at long last, is seen the words of silence, words that once our tears did freeze.
Grasping at straws, looking for just one item, the evidence, if you please?
Time stands still, days come, days go, night after night it is the same.
Hurried words, rushing away, the silence hovers, leaving open wound that has no name'"
Roaring images race through the night, calling out pleading for help that never came.
Open doors, open windows, forever lost to time, a faith built on a hope none can tame.
Underestimating, overrating, forgetting, the depths of love of which many have laid claim.
Groaning as others seek after the dwindling fame'"
Homeward bound, fleeing the clay shell, calling steadily truth, holding steady the flame'"
Torn pages, worn and wearied eyes bid goodbye.
Holding high the light that never fades, forever holding forth truth, never accepting the lie
Eternity in the balance, long days, longer nights, is there still reason to wonder why --
Needing to know, walking steadily --
Inquiring of every stone, waiting for the break
Granting words of remembrance for broken pottery's sake
Handing out flyers waiting, watching for the final stake
Turning back the pages, seeing the bloody rake
Taking time out,
Accepting that the silence is louder than the loudest shout'"
Klan's of pride forgetting sealing grout
Inspiring others to pull out the evil sprout
Neglecting not to remember the face that did spout
Grating fine the web, that wove a reminder of the fading pout.
Trembling at the bloody sight
Inspired by grace to work the long night
Memories of the fallen held high, holding forth the never ending light
Emerging, evidence reveals a hidden slight
Forever remembered are the words spoken from the heart
Open wounds, open wide the depths from the start
Remains, linger waiting calling out to those who did part --
Yonder winds flee across the fields as silence looms
Oval windows, echoing words never spoken of blood that the soul grooms
Under the eaves, deep within the glade lies the broken vessel, that lives now in new rooms.
