Do Love Scenes in Soap Operas & Movies = Jealousy?

Hannah
No matter hoe evolved we think we have become, I believe that jealousy is innate, and we can't extinguish it no matter how hard we try.

I must admit I have been a fan of All My Children since the sixties. Although I haven't watched it continuously, it seems like sooner or later I come back to it. Isn't it amazing how Erica Kane gets younger every year? Anyway, The love scenes have definitely gotten hotter, and more explicit over the years. Every time they show a love scene I can't help but think how there is no way in this lifetime I could stand the love of my life in someone else's arms, or bed. Yes, even if in make believe. Now maybe some women won't admit that, but my readers know me by now, I'm not afraid to honest or admit anything!

I just love it when I hear a woman say, I trust my man I would have no problem with it. Yeah right, how easy it is to say that when the chances of their man becoming a soap opera star is less than zero. Sometimes I think these, delusional women just say it to be different, and look like they have it all under control. But is that really true? I remember as far back as my teens, and yes, up until now hearing many a woman say, No way, I would scratch out that woman's eyes, and tare out her hair. That's probably after she was through shooting her. Yes, every woman I have known that has been honest just could not deal with it.

Take e heart though, this is a normal response to an abnormal situation. After all it's not normal for you to have to see your man rolling around on a bed with someone else. Deep inside we are still protectors of what is ours. Case in point my dogs. My newest dog gets so jealous when I pet my older dog, she pushes her aside and then she puts her head underneath my hand to pet her. This happens all the time. She really does get jealous a lot. No. I am not saying we are dogs, I'm just saying jealousy and protecting what is ours is perfectly natural. Unfortunately, because of domestic violence, stalkers, etc., jealousy has gotten a bad name. Yes, it can go way too far, and beyond what is normal, and healthy. However, a little jealousy just shows the one you love, you still care about losing them. I honestly believe personally that id there is no jealousy present at all, that maybe you just don't have that much to lose, or don't give a darn about losing it.

So, the next time you are watching that steamy, sexy movie or soap opera, just take a minute to think about how you would feel if it was your man? I bet you get a jealousy twinge, whether you want to admit it or not!

I'm convinced that steamy love scenes can lead to unintentional affairs.
