Do Not Go into the Cemetery with Potential!!!

I drove by a cemetery yesterday and I kinda cringed about the thought of death. Not because we who have put our trust in Jesus do not have a hope , but really because I realized that my life might end at any time and I only have a few years maybe to fulfill God's destiny in my life, the reason He put me on this Earth.

The truth is we never know when our time comes. The epistles talk about so much about redeeming time and how our lives are not but vapor, and in a psalm it even says that our days are not more than a width of a hand. Now that is not much. Also, it says in psalms that the strongest people will leave to 70-80 years of age. And we know most of us are not that strong.

There are people everyday in this world that are about to die any day now because of their faith. some of them are in so much danger that they might even go "home" today.

Life is short. How many times we wak up in the morning and we say that our lives will de different from now on? Or that we will do this and that? But we never get to do it or get so busy with things that God doesn't value that we forget about eternal things. I am guilty of that, too. Sometimes I have to write things down in order to accomplish them or I will waste my life just letting one day go by another and leave nothing behind.lt takes discipline sometimes and an awareness of the fact that today could be the day our lives end and what did we leave behind. I know I talk a lot about that, but ever since I had cancer my view on lfie changed. I used to plan and think of my life as a life that never ends here on Earth like I would live forever....

So many cemeteries are full of people with much potential, but who have not used their talents and gifts for nothing and got buried with them. See, there is this demonic teaching in the church that says that just because you have talents doesn't mean you need to use them for something, what really matters are the gifts from God. So, in a sense we know say that God who is our creator, or let's say manufacturer, designed us a certain way and put things in us without a brain, just to put them there for decoration or so we can boast with them, but never use them? They are useless? So, one means to say that one would design a clock to be a clock , just so it can make toast, and not be really used for its purpose? Or that the clock is made to be a clock, but some of the pieces of machinery were put into it , but they do not really need to be used to tell time, or to function correctly? How can we discern this, but not our purpose?

Listen, if you have the gift of singing, God put it there for a reason, not so you can keep the talant to yourself and bury it. And those who did not stop singing because it is not beautiful music! Please move and give room to those who have the gift.I do not want to sound harsh, but people are trying to constantly copy their fellow neighbor and be someone they are not. We are basically saying to God that He made a mistake and He should have made us the pastor, or the other family member, or Michael Jakcson, etc. We get jelous of people that are usign their potential and gifts to reach their destiny, but did you know it is woe of them if they do not! We all know the story of the talants and how the master was not happy at all about those who did not use it, yet when someone does use their talents and gifts we are upset and jealous and wish to be like them. Yes, I have felt that way. Didn't you know that the highest honor and praise you will bring to God is by being what He made you be? Didn't you know that if I buy a toaster I want it to make toast and not think it is smarter than me and tell me time?!! Don't you know that trying to take someone's place who has the gift to do and you do not is rebellion against God? You are trying to do something He never wanted you to do and you are not giving place to those who can?! I learned this the hard way myself.

Potential. Potential energy in an engine does nothing for the world. Kinetic energy does. It is time we become KINETIC. It is time for us to MOVE in the talents and gift God gave us.

There is a reason some can write and some do not. Those who cannot write, can sing though. There is a reason some learn and know a lot of languages, yet others do not. There is something God wants that person to do with it. There is a reason some pastor 100 and some 8000. Their organizational skills and determination are better and they can. Each one of us was created to do something. One was created to handle a greater responsibilty than others. Some have been designed to do some things that others cannot.

These gifts are all from God and all display the manifest wisdom of God. They all show us the different talents and gifts of God. He displayes Himself through us. So, if you run fast, be happy. Make God proud. When you run make Him smile, so He can say, " I made Him that way. Look at that. Look at that". If you sing, sing your heart out. If you lead, lead with wisdome and then LEAD do not sleep. Stop giving in to people and let them step all over you. Lead! If you write then write already and write. Quit being lazy by putting it off.

How many dead people are in those cemeteries that did not do anything with their gifts and talents. Cemeteries are full of dead dreams and potential, but did not change the world. Quit being afraid. Fear is a trap, Proverbs says, meaning fear will trap you into ddoing nothing. It's like jail. So many people want to reach the wrold, but their are afraid of pain, of dying, of givign their money...oh if we could forget to be afraid!!!

Also, stop listening to dream crushers and " well-meaning" people. Hang out with people that accept you for what God made you and understand that you have to live out your destiny. Get away from dream crushers, from people that constantly descourage you when you know it is right. I am not saying to ask advice from wise people and people who really care about you and the things of God, but that you run from people that everytime you share with them what God put into your heart, they find an excuse why you shouldn't be doing it.

I recommend you listen to David Hogan's testimony about how it happened to him and how he defeated it. Just go on youtube or search engine and find his testimony and sermons by him. There is a website also where you can listen to him ...just look at sources here on your right side lower on this web page.

Do not be another person that will die and just had potential. People bost with things like these about their kids or friends, " Wow, they have potential". It means nothing to me. Let's see potential turning into kinetic energy. Let's move !

Accept who you are. Quit trying to copy your neighbor. Quit disrespecting God by telling him He wasnt smart enough how HE created you. Quit trying to amke your kids live your dreams and encourage them to be what God desingned them. If you did not live your dream, too bad, but do not make your children's lives hell because of it like who to marry, what jobs to work, what schools they should go to, and more. I amnot saying not to parent and guide them, but guide them in the direction you seen God wants your children to go, not where God wanted you to go!!! No wonder then that we have broken relationships and misery.

My daughter can sing. She cannot do things I can, but I can see her gifts and talents and I am going to encourage her to be who she is. I always wanted to be a ballerina...well one of the things I wanted to be. I am not going to push my daughter to do that. She doesn't show much interest in that. But she shows interest in singing and nurturing. So, she was desinged that way. Watch your children and give them a little push. Do not crush their dreams.
