Do Not Watch a TV!

Shaila D Touchton
Do not watch a TV when God and the Christian faith are mocked.

Do not watch a TV when it defiles your mind and heart.

Do not watch a TV when you neglect your God given responsibilities to watch it.

Do not watch a TV when it erodes your affection for God.

Do not watch a TV When it shows contains questionable content of sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies.

Do not watch a TV when it promotes the freedom as an opportunity for the flesh

Do not watch a TV when it doesn't bring the glory of God. Video games glorify violence, lewdness, and dumb decisions.

Do not watch a TV when it is becomes a stumbling block to someone who is struggling with a habit or behavior that is coming between him and God.

Do not watch a TV when TV characters often depict risky behaviors, such as smoking and drinking, and also reinforce gender-role and racial stereotypes.

Do not watch a TV when it shows violence of Guns shootings, murders, hitting, punching, slapping, screaming, kicking, stabbing, explosions, car chases, car smashes, disasters and death.

Do not watch a TV when it is taking away from family, friends and time with God.

Do not watch a TV when it promotes a godless filth, secular philosophies, and blasphemy against God.

Do not watch a TV when it is saturated with nudity, drunkenness, lust, fornication, covetousness, dress whorishly; talk dirty adultery, sexual perversion such as homosexuality, prostitution etc and lasciviousness.

Do not watch a TV when there is sexually suggestive advertising, immodestly dressed women, hearing the Devil's music and all sorts of worldliness.

Do not watch a TV when there is a blasphemy against Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit and against the Word of God

The list doesn't leave much left to watch now days - nor does it leave much room for doubt as to where I've spent too much time better spent.

I think as Christians it's always better to turn the other cheek ;)
I'd like to see an article of 'Do's' sometime too... =)

If you want to know a "job description" for a Christian, I suggest Romans, Chapters 12 and 13. Christians are not crazy, except crazy in love with a Savior who is in love with us so much that He died for us. Crazy in the world's eyes, but real to God the Father Who sent Jesus. I too pray that Cassandra realizes that if the world had MORE Christians, it would be much less crazy that it is now.

Perhaps it is better to set a high standard rather than no standard or a very low standard. We will all fall and come short of the glory of God. Is this reason for not striving to be all that God has called us to be. I pray Cassandra, that the Lord of creation make this clear in a way that exceeds our feeble efforts to do so.

Cassandra,You are so spiritually blinded!!"But they refused to heed, shrugged their shoulders, and stopped their ears so that they could not hear. Yes, they made their hearts like flint, refusing to hear...." Zachariah 6:11-12
"... if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. 2Corinthians 4:3-6

"But He turned and said to Peter, 'Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.'” Matthew 16:23

TV has takent the place of the Bible Shaila in almost every home that has one. Its like the devil is invited in via a wireless connection to infiltrate the homes and then, into the minds. Great work again sister. Love it and love you. What great evangelism.
