Do Online Weight Loss Programs Work?

EDiets, Weight Watchers, South Beach Diet & Jenny Craig

Have you ever wondered if those online weight loss programs actually work? Certainly they can. The deciding factor is ultimately you. If you think you're ready to try an online weight loss program, following are some online weight loss programs you may want to check out: EDiets, Weight Watchers, The South Beach Diet and Jenny Craig.

eDiets (http://www.ediets.com/)

Their website says "Let eDiets create a diet and fitness plan customized just for you."

I'm inclined to think they probably could since they can provide plans for all the major diets like Oprah's Total Body Makeover, The Mayo Clinic Plan, The Atkins Diet, The Glycemic Impact Diet, The New Mediterranean Diet Plan, and about 17 others.

eDiets will cost $3.99 per week, billed every 28 days with a minimum of a one-month purchase. Membership is month-to month and you can cancel anytime.

Weight Watchers Online (http://www.weightwatchers.com/)

The classic Weight Watchers program has come to the internet. This will cost you $4.23 per week, billed as $46.90 for the first month and that includes the $29.95 registration fee. Each successive month will cost $16.95 and membership is month-to-month. Weight watchers often offers a one-week free trial. If you think you might be ready to try Weight Watchers, check it out!

South Beach Diet (http://www.startsouthbeach.com/)

This is the official program, approved by Dr. Agatston, the founder of the South Beach Diet. The South Beach Diet book will cost about $3.99, so if you feel you need more information before choosing this program, read the book. One of the conveniences of this program is the fact that Dr. Agatson and Kraft Foods have recently launched a line of authorized frozen and convenience foods. The South Beach Diet bars are tasty and inexpensive and their wraps, pizzas and meals can also be found in your local grocery store for far less than you'd pay for a fast food meal. This online diet program will cost you $5 per week. You'll be billed every 13 weeks with a 4 week minimum. If you only want to stick with it for a month, you can simply request a refund for the unused portion but that first month's fees are theirs to keep.

Jenny Craig (http://www.jennycraig.com/)

If Kirstie Alley did it, you can too! This program will cost you $5.72 per week. They bill you $49 every 60 days for membership but you also have to pay for the cost of the Jenny Craig foods. Jenny Craig often runs specials like $36 for your first six weeks, plus the cost of food. This program could get expensive, depending upon how much of the Jenny Craig food you buy but the convenience is definitely there.

Are you afraid of public weigh-ins? Don't have time for weekly meetings? Try an online weight loss program like EDiets, Weight Watchers, The South Beach Diet or Jenny Craig. You may just find the perfect diet for lasting weight loss success!

  • They work around your schedule
  • They offer total privacy
  • They have something for everyone
If you're overweight, sometimes the last thing you want to do is go out in public and talk about it, much less go to a public weigh-in where everyone there will know your failures immediately.
