Do People Care About Neglected and Abused Black Children?

They Say that People Would Not Care If the Child Were Black. but How Would We Know If the Media Never Tells Us About Black Children?

Christopher

Some people are upset because of what Casey Anthony did and some people are upset because of all the media attention being given to a White woman about her White child. So it makes me wonder where all of the righteous outrage is about what happens to Black children when a Black mother kills her child. I do not think that the blame can be placed with American citizens because the media does not cover the neglect of Black children. To be fair I am upset when anything happens to any child, anywhere in the world where there is neglect.

As sick and demented as it seems I would love to see the outrage and righteous indignation of Americans because of something horrific that happened to a Black child. On some level it would validate African-Americans and show us that Blacks are good enough to be vilified, neglected, denigrated, murdered and abused in the same manner that Whites are, and the mainstream media would find the stories worthy enough to be covered. That would be a step up for a lot of African-Americans. We would finally be murdered for something other than selling drugs; after all, everyone knows that Black women are not good enough to be raped by a man unless the he is rich and powerful. Well almost, because the chances are pretty good that she has lied about what happened to her. Think about it, Black women have been getting hit upside the head, thrown down the staircase, suffocated in a bathtub, hit with a clinched fist or the back side of a hand every single day, and no one talked about domestic abuse until Rihanna was beat up by Chris Brown. Whites were outraged, and Blacks told everyone that Rihanna deserved what was coming to her because of what type of person she was. Oh yeah and supposedly she gave Chris Brown herpes.

It is easy to get off topic, because you know there are so many injustices against Black people in this world. But to the topic at hand; it would seem as if evil things are happening to Black children every day, and those stories simply go untold because the media thinks that it does not sell and no one would be bothered to read it and find out what is going on. This won't be a long article, because I do not have any neglected or abused Black children to talk about; I know that they are out there, but I do not want to make a point of looking one up when the kids next door are hungry and asking me for loose change. But I do pose the question; do the authorities know about what is going on with Black children almost before the ugly events transpire, and are Black mothers locked up and put away before they can even think about doing anything as horrific as what happened to Caylee Anthony. Or, has the same or worse happened to a Black child without the media reporting on what transpired?
