Do You Plan on Watching the Debut of 'Two and Half Men' This Season?

By now, everyone probably knows what is supposed to happen on the beginning of "Two And Half Men" this season. Charlie Harper dies. Rose attends his funeral and explains that gruesome details. Supposedly, she finds him in a compromising position with another woman. They argue and he slips in front of a subway train in Paris. This is supposed to make viewers believe that Rose may have pushed Charlie in front of the oncoming train. His death is gruesome and the first episode honors him by way of a funeral, in which all of his past girlfriends reappear.

Eventually, Ashton Kutcher appears on the scene and purchases Charlie's house. How they are going to work Ashton's character in with Charlie's brother has yet to be announced. Personally, I think this part could have been done better. They should have written Ashton's character as Charlie's long lost son, a broke one at that, and had his will fixed where everything was divided 50/50 between the brother and the son. Yet, the writers thought making Ashton a wealthy man who bought the house made more sense. You know every millionaire would want a small three bedroom beachfront property; it isn't like they could find anything bigger.

Now the question is this. Will America be watching "Two And Half Men" this season.

Personally, I agree with the real Charlie. I see many people watching the first few episodes out of curiosity. It will be interesting to see how they play out the funeral and it will be interesting to see exactly how the work Ashton onto the scene. After that will people continue watching?

This will depend on many factors:

  • Will the writing continue to be good
  • Will the plot make enough sense to satisfy the audience
  • Will the audience miss Charlie to much?

Granted, the actors who will be on the show are great ones. Ashton is a great actor in his own right. Yet, Charlie's shoes are big ones to fill and many of his fans, really don't care what he does in his personally life.

Guess time will time.

I have always been a fan of this funny show, but Ashton is no Charlie, so it remains to be seen whether or not I will continue to watch it.
