Do You Put Your Job First Before Your Family?

Sebastian Thomas
Do you put your job first before anything else in your life? You do realize that you can easily replace your job, but it would be much harder to replace your family? I know some of you like to think that your job is number one in your life, for it wasn't, you wouldn't be able to do things and appreciate your family better. But I can assure you that it would be better and wiser for you to realize and put your family first instead of your job.

Family gives you the number one pure feeling that your job doesn't come close to giving you and that's pure love in it's simplest essence. So why would you want to put your job first before your spouse and kids? Don't they make you happy or are you trying to run away from them and off to your job each day to avoid it altogether? We have forgotten that work is a temporary time in our day and that what we really need to reflect on each day is our family and what we share with them.

What ideas and energy can we exchange with them? What joys can we express during our different scenarios in life? You know the answers to all of these questions so you must act upon them now before you think it's "too" late. But in reality it is never "too" late to start fresh with a new idea that can put a smile to your face and one other each day.

So the next time someone asks you, "What do you put first in your life?" Think about it really well and think if they will respond the same as you. You may be shocked in what you hear. But nevertheless, try to understand where they are coming from and what they are truly trying to tell you instead of your first immediate and first obvious assumption.

Family always. I work from home which in one way makes life easier. I've been able to bring up my kids while having a career. On the other hand it's hard to relax when home is also a workplace and if there's work to do, it's impossible to switch off from the need to get on with it.
