It's perfectly normal to cry and crying shows that you accept the fact that you're grieving or hurt or upset. It's now the 21st century so the stereotype that real men don't cry and need to suppress their feelings should no longer mean anything. If we want to grow and evolve as human beings, we need to get past our gender issues and gender norms. Maybe if men were allowed to be more free and open with their feelings, there would be less violence in this world. Maybe there would be less war and less murder and less hate crimes, which would be a good thing.
Keeping hurt and pain locked up inside is unnatural and isn't what real man do. Real men have the ability to confront their feelings and deal with them. There is absolutely nothing wrong with crying when you're hurt or upset. In fact, a good cry is even therapeutic. There's nothing shameful or embarrassing about crying. Crying is part of human nature, and shows that you are alive inside. Crying is an involuntary response to things, and should not be restrained. Keeping things in and bottling them up isn't a cowardly or feminine thing. Real men are not afraid to express their feelings or show real emotion.
Locking up your feelings is only going to hurt you and the people around you. If you don't cry and show your feelings in a positive way, it'll lead to negative things like rage, violence, anger, hostility, self-destructive behavior, and even regret. Unfortunately, society believes that crying is a feminine thing, and that needs to change. Crying once in a while isn't going to make you a sissy or a coward. If you have friends who make fun of you for crying, they aren't good friends and you should consider getting some new ones. If you shed some tears, it doesn't mean that you aren't a real man. Do real men cry? Indeed they do!
