The wide strips are boded together to give it this unique and highly popular look. This vertical look works very well for small settings.

Bamboo Flooring Also Goes Horizontal

If a manufacture wants to obtain a horizontal look they must stack each bamboo strip on top of the other. This process of bonding the bamboo will make it very durable and give it a totally different look and feel. It has been debated that horizontal bamboo is slightly stronger and more durable than the vertical flooring. This is however just a debate and no real evidence is found for this debate as of yet.
