Do Spells and Candles Really Work?

There are many out there who promise to give you the wealth you want, the love you want and even the health you want. Of course it always comes with a price.

While there is nothing wrong with paying someone for their time and efforts; do not pour your life savings or even this weeks entire paycheck into anyone who claims they can make it happen.

Keep in mind all spells, magik (the common spelling for a particular practice of metaphysical work) and prayers do not require a second party or an empty bank account to make them work.

There are many books on the topic of spells and magik but keep in mind, that you are simply working with intention and intention can only happen if you put in the effort on your end. Nobody can bring you true love, health, wealth or happiness other than yourself.

It doesn't matter how you do it, you bring about to yourself what you put your attention on. This doesn't mean if you constantly worry about money that you will attract money to you; in fact you are likely to only attract more money worries.

For many people a ritual helps them focus, so they light candles, use spells, say prayers or use and old wives tale that their Grandmother taught them when they were little. These rituals do help to bring in the things you are wanting because you are focusing on what you want instead of what you do want.

As stated in The Secret thoughts are energy but the Universe does not know the difference between fears, beliefs are want, so it simply gives you what you energetically put out to it. It doesn't really matter how you put the energy out there, just as long as you focus on what you are wanting and believing that you can bring it in.

Many in the metaphysical world will charge to do candle work, spells or prayers and there is nothing wrong with do that as long as the person purchasing these things understands that they are paying for the practitioner's time and not operating under the misconception that anyone else can make something happen for you.

Anyone can work their own magic and bring in all they desire into their own lives if they so choose. If you choose to have someone else do the ritual part of the work or you just want the added energy of a second person, that certainly will not do any harm as long as you are working with someone who is honest about how the process works.

You must put the intention out there for yourself and you must keep the negative thoughts from taking over. It doesn't matter how many spells you do or how many candles you burn, if your keep your thoughts in the place of what you don't have; you will simply get more of what you already don't have. Put your thoughts out to what you want, think about it, dream about it, write about it, talk about it but always do it in a way that does not address what is lacking in your life. See the outcome not the process it takes to get there. You can ask for assistance from others but remember in the end, you will get what you ask for and what you focus your thoughts on.
