The FBI's unit in the series is based out of Quantico, Virginia and this intense thrill packed show differs from other criminal dramas as it takes us into the mind of the criminal not just along for the chase.
"Criminal Minds" is now in it's sixth season on CBS and appears to have done so well there is to be a "Criminal Minds": Suspect Behavior which will air in mid season of 2010-2011.
The original series presented us with Jason Gideon, played by Mandy Patinkin, who actually starred in "Yentel" with Barbra Streisand. I must confess it took me a season or two to remember where I had seen Gideon before the show Criminal Minds. Aaron "Hotch" Hotchner played by Thomas Gibson is second runner up on the list of heavy hitters on the team. The rest of the unit consists of Elle Greenway (Lola Glaudini), Derek Morgan (Shemar Moor), Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler), Penelope Garcia (my favorite) played by Kirsten Vangsness, and Jennifer Jareau or "JJ" (A.J. Cook). JJ actually left during season six and we have not yet learned of her replacement.
"Criminal Minds" takes us for a ride in each and every show while always giving us a final word to set our mind at ease in the end. However, after all the seasons and all the shows you can't help but continue to wonder when the lights go out, "Is there really that many kinds of evil in the world we live in?"
"Criminal Minds" is one show that is number one for suspense, action, and fear filled moments with gruesome scenes, clearly portrayed criminal actions, and the workings of the criminal mind. In my opinion it is an adult or at least over 13 view for anyone that is planning on catching an episode to check it out.
Keep those lights out, the doors locked, and be prepared to walk away with a completely different feeling of the world we all live in. "Criminal Minds" takes you into the dark and doesn't quite let you out into the light again when it is over.

Post a CommentYour review helps. I'm pretty sure this show is too much for me right now.
I watch it in reruns all the time, love the show. I am a little slow out of the gate, it is a rare thing when I watch a show when it just comes out in prime time. I didn't know Cook left, not that caught up yet. Wonder if the young smartie pants will ever style his hair, lol :)
I luv that show!!
I love criminal minds, but missed this whole year, thank goodness for Tivo. Thank you, I knew I saw Gideon before but could not remember where, hard to believe that Hotch used to be in Dharma and Gregg. I love these shows and horror movies, great article.
I used to watch a show called "Snapped" and it was similar to Criminal Minds but after awhile, it scares the bejeezes outta ya! cheers
Definitely a dark show.
