Fourth of July is a great holiday for parties. Many people like to host barbecues, picnic parties, etc. on the 4th of July. A fun addition to any party is party favors. People love getting them, especially if they're fun and unique. Plus, it can be fun for you, too if you create them yourself. Here's a guide to three do it yourself projects for 4th of July party favors.
- Candy cups. This is really simple and easy to do. Just buy some red, white, and blue cups or any combination of the colors. Get some patriot colored candies. These are really cheap at Wal-Mart and dollar stores. You can even get candy colored like the American flag. They come in suckers, hard candy, etc. Fill up a patriot colored cup with patriot colored candy. Then simply tie a red, white, or blue ribbon around the cup. And you have made your own 4th of July party favor. It's very simple, easy, and economical.
- Sparkler cups. This is another really easy one. Again, purchase some red, white, or blue cups. You can get really cute ones at Dollar Tree in various styles such as plastic martini cups and other festive shapes. Then purchase a few packages of sparklers. These only cost about a dollar at Wal-Mart and usually come with four or five boxes in one pack. Take the sparklers out of the package and place them in a festive cup. Tie a 4th of July themed ribbon around it and you have another great, easy do it yourself party favor.
- Bookmarks. This 4th of July party favor is really creative but still easy as well. You will need red, white, or blue ribbons and patriot beads as well. Simply thread some beads onto the end of one side of the ribbon. This is where you can be creative. You can thread them in whatever style you wish and use many different varieties of shapes, sizes, and color of beads. Then tie one bead on the other end of the ribbon and you have just made a 4th of July bookmark.
