Do it Yourself Divorce

Do it yourself divorce

Did you know in all fifty United States you could file for divorce yourselves and save thousands of dollars? Yes, you can and I for one am willing to write my own divorce papers because I want a cheap divorce. I do not have thousands of dollars to give a lawyer but I could save money and file the divorce papers my self.

Viviane a friend recommended a book to me about do it yourself divorce, I looked it up on the internet. It was too expensive so I looked for it on eBay and found it for a starting bid of a quarter so I bid on it. Shipping was $3.95 so I figured what the heck if I could grab the book for under $10 bucks I would save my self almost $40, not a bad deal. Well not once else, bid upon the divorce book so it was mine. I can get a divorce cheaply, and it will only cost filing fees.

I figure this is the only way I am going to be able to afford a divorce. A do it yourself divorce is exactly what I need. I am of average intelligence so I know I can do this. It is a no fault divorce, and both spouses must agree to every thing in these divorce papers.

When the do it yourself divorce book arrived, I looked thru it quickly and then I began reading it cover to cover. I realized that it would be a bit harder to do then I anticipated. A divorce is never easy; perhaps that is why some people just pay fees to have it done.

I began spending some time typing in all information I needed, using the do it yourself divorce book as a guide. It was hard no doubt trying to understand the legal talk, but the more I read the more it began to make sense. The do it yourself divorce book explains each section of a divorce in legal talk, and then gives examples on how to write it up, using non-technical language. The book even listed the state laws as they pertain to that section. The do it yourself divorce book is a godsend if used correctly.

There are several parts to a divorce and actually the typing part is easier then I anticipated. There is property to be divided, child custody, alimony, and a few more sections. Therefore, spouses need to be at least on speaking terms in order to write up their own divorce papers. If both spouses can agree to all of the items in the do it yourself, divorce book then there is no reason why they should not be able to write up their own divorce. This will save them thousands of dollars in legal fees.

The divorcing couple must agree to every section with the divorce papers, and this can be difficult if not impossible it the couple are not on speaking terms. Many spouses who are separated can discuss children but when the talk turns to divorce, tempers begin to flare, making it impossible. For these folks it is better left for the attorneys to write up.

There are plenty of web sites the offer do it yourself divorce kits, but they are not always up to date. I suggest you grab a copy of divorce yourself and use it. Also, go ahead, go to your local courthouse, and ask to see a recently filed divorce. They are public knowledge, and will show you what paper work is needed for your state. That information along side a copy of the do it yourself divorce book will allow you to file your own divorce and save you money.

I have been married for 4 years and I can't stand my husband at all. He is childish and acts like a child when he doesn't get his own way and when I leave him with the kids, he won't clean up after them and I just don't know why I married him in the first place.

Now if only the "unhappily" married people would just get a divorce. That is the step that seems so impossible for people to get to.

I'll pass on this one. Been married 38 years; together 43. I'm not letting go of him now.
