This is a very simple and easy on the budget kind of centerpiece to add to your wedding reception tables. If you are looking for a centerpiece idea that will be stunning and cheap, this is the perfect centerpiece idea for you. This is a special, modern twist on the traditional flower centerpieces that people use for wedding receptions.

TINY FLOWER VASES:

First you need to get tiny white flower vases or miniature flower vases. They should only be about 3 inches tall and as big around as a 50 cent piece. They need to be this little to make the centerpiece look right. You could use clear vases if you cannot find white, but white looks best for this centerpiece. You will need about 16 or so vases per centerpiece setting.

FLOWERS:

Next you need to find the flowers that you want to use. Try not to use big flowers for this centerpiece. Roses would be fine, but mini roses would work even better with this centerpiece idea. Get the flowers that match your wedding flowers, if they are not too big. And get the flowers in the colors that match your wedding colors. You need to use at least two different colors of flowers. White with a color from your wedding looks particularly nice in this centerpiece setting.

MAKE YOUR HEART SHAPED CENTERPIECES:

First you will need to cut the stems on your flowers so that they are only about 2 or 2 and ½ inches long, so that they will not stick up very far out of the vases. You do not even want to see any stems once you place them into the vases.

Next, you can add some water to the vases and arrange the flowers in the small white vases. You should only do this the day before or the day of the wedding reception.

Finally, you will arrange the vases in the center of each wedding reception table in the shape of a heart. You may use a little more or a little less than 16 vases to design your perfect sized heart our of these adorable little vases filled with flowers. But simply place the vases in the shape of the outline of a heart to create your heart shaped wedding centerpiece. If you are worried about the vases getting moved out of the shape of a heart, you could glue them to the tablecloth or tape them to the table.
