Do it Yourself Weightloss for Thirty & Above:

Results Minus Complex Formulas

JTA Knowles
After having my child I couldn't seem to lose weight no matter what I did or took. Finally I found an herbal formula plus strength training exercises with Tammy Webb/Abs of Steel and I went from 160 lbs to 105 lbs within 6 months time. The next couple of years I went back up to 135 lbs after stopping the herbal formula which I discovered had harmful herbs, specifically Black Licorice, if taken regularly. I got some nerve damage from it. I didn't exercise as much anymore either. Then I had a very bad auto accident which left me with permanent back, pelvis, and leg pain.

I went back up in weight to 176 lbs. I tried to do the exercises and I eventually pulled my back muscles and would hurt for days, so I couldn't continue the exercises weekly. And that was crucial to my weight because I was in my thirties and your metabolism slows down when you're older. That's one of the reasons why diets and diet pills don't work. You have to have some kind of specific exercises targeting your body's specific trouble spots. It increases your metabolism. Right now, I have a large rubber band type rope. You can get these from the doctors' offices, and medical supplies stores. Since I can't do the more intense exercises, I tie it around a doorknob. Every night I use it by pulling it tight to my sides, lower front, back, and above my shoulders. You can do 10 repetitions for each position mentioned above. You can increase the reps by 5 for one position each couple of weeks. You don't want to pull any muscles with too many. These exercises target 'chicken wings!', upper and middle of stomach, upper and lower back, your upper arms, and even your chest. Dancing is a good choice too. You can sit in your chair and shake to the beat. You should get fast paced, heavy beat, songs. My personal choice is usually Black-Eyed Peas and Outkast.

I got a divorce and stopped cooking red meat with and without fat, and stopped eating grains and pasta for 90 percent of each day. Now I eat Grilled Tilapia, chicken breast, MorningStar products, and I pick one of those for one time each day. The Morning Star products are soy based and the bacon they have is great with anything. My main diet is fruit and vegetables. That's what my main foods are daily. One misconception is that fruit and vegetables don't fill you up. Actually if you have a problem with limiting portion sizes this is a great way to pig out and not get fat from it. Just go easy on any dressing. I've eaten a big tomato with Ranch Dressing for lunch frequently. Buttermilk Ranch Dressing is my staple in my salads. I drink coffee, tea, bottled water, and even Dr. Pepper. Also, when I make my son any type of dinner that normally has some grain involved like tacos, hamburgers, and chicken burgers I turn them into a salad for me, even hamburgers. I stay away from cheese and mayonnaise too. Sometimes I eat a Gogurt when I'm running around doing errands. I do have a sweet tooth and a big sweet orange or tangerine usually works, but you can have one of those Dark Chocolate - Fiber One Bars for breakfast, but that will be your only grain for the day. I do eat small ice cream cones 2-3 times per month too with this hot weather. At Walmart, there are Sugar-Free Popsicles that are really sweet and refreshing too.

The ultimate result, so far, is that within about 4-5 months I have lost 26 lbs. You need to weigh yourself in the morning because you retain water daily at about 1-2 lbs per day. If you weigh yourself later in the day take off 1-2 lbs of the weight shown and that's pretty accurate. I went from 176 to 150 and I'm looking forward to the next weigh in around twenty days or so. For those of you who are in your thirties and above, and have physical disabilities that can't seem to get the weight off, try this. You'll be pleasantly surprised. This is an easy and safe way to lose weight.
