The word is "revolution" and is the one Dr. Greenfield is using when talking to physicians and alternative health practitioners.

Dr. Greenfield wants health care professionals to turn their attention to focusing on health more than disease. As Dr. Greenfield had remarked 70% of chronic diseases could be stopped from happening by making better choices in diet and lifestyle.

Dr. Greenfield, use to be in the emergency room as a physician at Presbyterian Hospital Matthews and was one of the first among around one dozen Charlotte area physicians to complete an integrative fellowship at the University of Arizona.

In 2001, Dr. Greenfield returned to Charlotte and is working on getting the medical establishment to open up the world to alternative therapies. Alternative therapies include acupuncture, chiropractic and massage.

Dr. Richard Schulze, one of the foremost authorities on natural healing and herbal medicine in the world. Dr. Schulze has operated natural healing clinics in New York and Southern California and Europe until 1994. Dr. Schulze still is teaching throughout the world in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia.

A quote of Dr. Schulze : "Your body has the ability to completely heal itself of any disease ...all it needs is your assistance".

The most famous modern definition of good health had been created during a Preamble to the Constitution of the World Health Organization as adopted by the International Health Conference, New York, 19-22 June, 1946; signed on 22 July 1946 by the representatives of 61 States.

"Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity."

This definition has never been amended since the year 1948.

A healthy diet and lifestyle is essential for good health. When it comes to good health an immune system that is operating well is required. Conditions and diseases ranging from the common cold to asthma to arthritis and even cancer are all related to immune system dysfunction. So it is essential we keep our immune system operating at top performance and give it a boost when necessary. Besides diet which consists of plenty of fruit and vegetables and proper exercise there are alternative therapies in which can also help boost the immune system.

Chiropractic

Chiropractic care one of the most popular forms of alternative therapies has demonstrated that chiropractic adjustments coordinate response of the nervous system and immune system.

A landmark study conducted in the year 2005, had established the fact chiropractic care can influence the basic physiological process that affects oxadative stress and DNA repair. The findings from the study had provided science with the explanation for positive influences of health benefits in patients who receive chiropractic care.

Also, demonstrated in science is that children who receive regular chiropractic care have less colds, ear infections and the flu. Chiropractic care treats infants which is the best time to start your child seeing one. The spine and neck of infants can very easily become misaligned. Most often issues of sleep, digestion, eating and even irritability can be helped by relaxing the body and re-balancing the spinal alignment.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture treatments can also be effective due to the fact the treatments focus on strengthening the immune system and stimulation of the bodies defense mechanisms.

Chinese herbs have also been used to help aide the immune system. One herb ginseng is widely used to enhance the immune system.
