Get Moving
Some back pain is caused by the weakening of back muscles. Extended periods of bed rest is the cause of this condition many times. To fix the problem, slowly begin getting out of bed more and more each day. Once your back pain becomes less severe, try to go on short walks around the house or the block. The strong your back muscles become, the less pain your will endure.
Anti-inflammatory Drugs
There are some over-the-counter medications that can do wonders to solve minor back pain. If you use ibuprofen or aspirin, you will reduce any swelling in your muscles that might be the cause for your back pain. If this doesn't do the trick, move on to other methods. Medication is not always the answer.
Cold/Hot Therapy
Ice and heat can do wonders for back pain. For the first two days of your back pain, apply ice to the sore area. The ice acts as an anti-inflammatory to lessen any swelling. After two days, you may use a heating pad on your back. The heat will relax your muscles and hopefully relieve your back pain for good.
Massage
There is a lot to be said for back pain treatment and massage. If you visit a trained masseuse, back pain caused by muscle knots will have no chance. These professionals are trained where to put pressure and just how much to pressure to apply. Sometimes the knots in your back can contain toxins that create back pain. Kneading out these toxins may be just the trick.
Although there are definitely situations that require a doctor's attention. Try not to run into the clinic for every single ache and pain. Minor back pain can be treated with simple at home remedies. If you follow these back pain treatment tips, your trips to the doctor will severely diminish
