Blistex Lip Infusion comes in a small bottle with a twist-off cap. The whole bottle has a dark silver color with blue text on it. It is easy to conceal in public and at social gatherings. This may seem ridiculous, but there are men and women who would prefer that people not stare at them while they are applying lip balm or cosmetics. While I have not experienced this feeling, I do think that it is rude to just take out lip balm and start using it in the middle of a conversation with another person.
Therefore, Blistex Lip Infusion gets an "A" in this category. The shape and color of the container is modern as well. This is a plus, if you want to get away from those generic looking chap stick containers. The style of Blistex Lip Infusion bottles is appropriate for men and women. It is simplistic enough for different personalities to enjoy and has enough contemporary design to stand out in the midst of other lip balm options.
Quality
When I took Blistex Lip Infusion out of the box that it came in, this product seemed to be very small in size. That gave me the impression that I was not going to get enough moisturizer that warrants the money that was paid for this item. However, there is enough liquid in the bottle to last for weeks on end. Blistex Lip Infusion has a silver rolling applicator at the top of its bottle. It was not always easy to know whether the liquid was actually being applied of if I was just rolling a silver ball over my lips. However, I realized that it all depends on how you hold the Blistex Lip Infusion container.
It is similar to those deodorants that have rolling applicators. If you can work with those deodorants, it will be easy to deal with the Blistex Lip Infusion applicator. This product has SPF 15, which is an added benefit during any season. Since this product is not a typical Chap Stick or other lip moisturizer, I was concerned about its consistency. It was a great experience to learn that Blistex Lip Infusion is not runny. Although it is in liquid form, the moisturizing solution has some thickness to it.
Price
I was hesitant to purchase Blistex Lip Infusion when finding it in a pharmacy store. It costs $2.99 at regular price. This is a bit hefty for a lip moisturizer. The price made me consider cheaper brands and other Blistex options. However, Blistex Lip Infusion does not cost much more than many popular moisturizers that have been used for years.
Endurance
It seems that Blistex Lip Infusion is available in different versions. I did not find that out until after purchasing the product and doing further research. There is a regular version that just has "moisture splash" on the box, one that is called "cherry splash" and another titled "soothing splash" from the Blistex Lip Infusion line. The "soothing splash" version is medicated. This is the particular Blistex Lip Infusion product that I purchased.
Medicated lip moisturizers can be very annoying in that they smell like medicine all day long. Blistex Lip Infusion does not let the medicated content overpower everything else, which is something that I appreciated. This product is not waxy and does not leave a film around the lips. Instead, Blistex Lip Infusion is very light and can help to make your lips soft for a few hours. It may also make your lips look wet depending on how much you put on. This can be an added feature during the spring and summer when some women want to add as much glow and shimmer to their look as possible.
Verdict
If you have a coupon where a discount can be applied, I would recommend using it when purchasing Blistex Lip Infusion. This product is worth purchasing despite its $2.99 price tag. It would be helpful if Blistex Lip Infusion lasted longer than it does during the day. The moisturizer has to be applied several times throughout the day. This may not be bothersome for all men and women, but is something to keep in mind. I would not expect 24 hour or even 12 hour coverage after using Blistex Lip Infusion just once. However, I would take multiple applications of moisturizer over waxy content any day of the week. Blistex Lip Infusion is smooth, easy to use and provides and even amount of moisture.
