Does My Butt Look Too Big?

In Pursuit of the Truth

Theresa Wiza
Do You Care About The Way You Look?

Enough to post questions about your looks online and get some honest feedback?

How many times have you stood in front of your mirror and said, "Hmm, something is not quite right."

"Maybe I should do something with my hair."

"I wonder how I would look blonde."

"Would that red dress look good on me?"

"Should I change the shape of my glasses?"

Those types of questions prompted the developer of MyLooksOnline to open a web site in search of the TRUTH. Why? Because you don't always know what types of responses you'll get when you ask friends or family members, "How do I look?"

Can you trust their loving replies? Maybe everybody is just trying to be nice, or maybe they don't want to hurt your feelings, but family members and friends don't always tell the "whole" truth.

So how do you know if that hairstyle makes your nose look too big? Who will tell you honestly if you look too fat in that white pant suit? MyLooksOnline! For an absolutely honest opinion from people who are just trying to help, try mylooksonline.com.

Send in your photo and wait for people to respond. Every time somebody offers a comment, you get a response in your email.

The nice thing about MyLooksOnline is that uploading your photo is FREE, and the responses you get are FREE. You do have an option of ordering a detailed summary that breaks down the replies into age and gender (costs only $2.99), but the summaries are optional and, other than that cost, everything else, including the questions and the responses are completely free.

Categories where you can submit your photo and question include: General Looks; Hairstyles; Makeup; Body Shape & Weight; Fashion, Clothes & Accessories; Skin & Complexion; Facial Features; and Piercings & Tattoos.

Don't be afraid to post your photo. The sight is geared toward honesty and they weed out "the obscene, the rude and the unhelpful." What you will get is a quality reply to your question. Be prepared though, because the opinions are "sometimes brutally honest." You wanted the truth though, right?

As MyLooksOnline says in its "About" section, "My Looks Online ... is NOT geared towards sex appeal ratings, dating services, or social networking. Its sole purpose is to give you a direct, honest answer to your direct, sincere question about your looks. Our readers ... observe other's looks and make judgments. They may or may not have professional degrees in plastic surgery; they may or may not have cosmetology licenses. And, they may or may not have fashion design certificates. But they have one critical 'may not,' and that is 'they may not have a personal investment in you.' They are free to respond to your question without risk of hurt feelings and/or resentment. You can be assured of getting honest feedback."

My Looks Online also has a blog, which you can find by clicking the link for the My Looks Online blog. Her "Lessons from the Bus" blogs are thought-provoking and interesting.

In the meantime, take a photo of yourself, upload it to MyLooksOnline and get some honest feedback about your looks. Or offer your own opinions to people who are waiting to receive honest feedback.

As MyLooksOnline says, "Get unbiased, honest and constructive feedback about your looks for free." Visit MyLooksOnline. You might be surprised by the responses you'll see. Most of the comments are genuinely helpful.

fascinating service, what will the internet produce next?

This is very entertaining, but not something I would get involved with. My butt is way too big - and know what? I know it and don't really care. If people don't like me for the person I am, I can't help them.

OMGoodness, I'd be very afraid of non-family "honest" remarks, at least I know for certain my family lies!!! Ha, ha, ha! Great idea though, very enlightening article!

What a strange but clever idea!

    Facebooked! :-)

  • Janet Hunt7/5/2010

LOL! I think I would be scared they would tell the truth... :-)

Sounds like a fascinating idea but as long as human beings are contributing their opinions, they will still be subjective, personal remarks.

    Not me thanks.

No thanks! My husband would have a fit.
