Does Charlie Sheen Really Sing the Theme Song on Two and a Half Men? He and Bret Michaels Worked Together

You know the show with Charlie Sheen, that goes, "Man, man, man, man, man, manly man" in its opening theme song? This song was written by Grant Geissman, Lee Aronsohn and Chuck Lorre.

My husband and I have been arguing about this for a while now. He thought it was the actors singing the theme song, but I told him I thought it was professional musicians, and possibly even a woman doing the vocals.

According to Yahoo, the answer is No - the actor's don't sing the song on Two and A Half Men:

The shows opening tune is performed by studio musicians including E. G. Daley. The actor's lip sync the lyrics. You can tell when you look at Charlie Sheen's voice box as he is supposedly singing. It doesn't bulge as it should if he were really singing.

E. G. Daily (Elizabeth Daily) is probably best know as the voice of "Tommy Pickles" on 'Rugrats" and "buttercup on the "Powerpuff Girls". Elizabeth or E.G. Daily has also performed in movies, so not only does she do voice work but she is also an actress.

So the next time you hear that "man man manly song", think about Elizabeth doing the "oowahoo" part at the end.

Speaking of Charlie Sheen

Sheen was born Carlos Irwin Estévez in New York City, the youngest son and third of four children born to actor Martin Sheen and artist Janet Templeton. Charlie took his father's stage name.

In 1998, Charlie Sheen and Bret Michaels establishing Sheen/Michaels Entertainment. Their first production was called a Letter from Death Row, a film written, directed and starred in by Michaels. In addition to that film, they produced No Code of Conduct, and the feature film, Free Money, starring Marlon Brando and Mira Sorvino.

Charlie Sheen has had a rough year so far and so has Bret Michaels.

Bret Michaels was rushed to the ER for an emergency appendectomy on April 12th, around the same time he learned his daughter had inherited his diabetes. On April 22nd, Bret Michaels was rushed to the hospital again, this time with an excruciating headache. The doctor's found a subacronoid hemorrhage and he has been listed in critical condition. Some reports have now said that his condition is stabilized but it appears this has been a life changing moment for Bret.
