Does he remember what he did

Does he ever think of it

I know I do

I know the other girls do

I know I always will

Though the thoughts grow further apart

As the years cultivate my peace of mind

And my sense of serenity in my life

Does he remember

Has it faded from his vile mind

And his wicked thoughts

Does any of this matter

If he thinks of it

Or I do

I believe it brings some enormity to the matter

That things can happen

That change everything

Although the years keep growing in number

Only the frequency of the memories change

The horror never fades

Terror still crosses your face

When something triggers those thoughts

How old do I have to be
