Everyone knows that House has no bedside manners with his patients, he has no tact with the members of his team, and he has no real manners at all. However, he is a brilliant medical doctor who investigates and tracks down illnesses that no one else can solve. At the same time, he is a loner who would rather not have to interact with his patients and a man who has his own physical and mental challenges to fight with.
Enter season four. House finally has what he wants; a mysterious illness that no one can currently solve, no team to have to deal with, and the prospects of doing his job by himself. However, Dr. Lisa Cuddy, the Dean of Medicine and hospital administrator has different ideas. She 'encourages' House to look for a new team, constantly pointing out that he needs others to pass ideas around with.
While taking jabs at Dr. Cuddy, House continues his normal routine of testing for everything and treating for the likely culprit. However, as in the past he makes some assumptions that are then proven incorrect. The patient is getting worse and he is running out of ideas. A comment by Dr. Wilson triggers a twitch in House ,who then was able to save the patient.
House smugly points out to Dr. Cuddy that he was able to save the patient without a team. He does not need a time. Dr. Cuddy reminds House of the mistakes that were made. She boldly points out that he made mistakes and had he had his team, the case would have been solved much sooner. She tells him to form a team and that is final.
The next scene shows House in a room full of student doctors, slowly strumming at his guitar. He's telling the doctors that this is going to be the hardest interview of their lives. He is going to quiz them and abuse them. He finishes his inspiring little speech by letting the candidates know that at the end of the interview process, one would be leaving along with 30 some others.
Stay tuned for more updates as House decides who he wants on his new team!
