Does a Man Complete You?

Complete Through a Man Called Jesus

Meki g
The lady peeked out the door one more time and then again to make sure no one was watching. The next time that she peered it was with only one eye, with her weathered hand holding the door in case she needed to close it quickly. As usual, it was near noon before most of the people would retreat as the day gave into the heat. She could not stand to face another day of the kids throwing rocks and women spitting on her. The worse part was the men who would taut her with raised fists, only to be knocking on her window at night to entice her. She was as some people say a lady of the city, or as older folk say, a hussy.
She trudged out thinking that the more cautiously that she walked, that it would make her less visible. Each day was harder, with the trek getting seemly further. She raised her hand over her eyes to shield them. There was a man sitting at the well! Her mind began to ramble-there was not a drop of water at home and she was so thirsty. Turning around was not an option. Every instinct told her to go back home, but something drew her nearer.
In the time shortly after Jesus had began His ministry, He started a journey from Judea to Galilee. Somewhere during the travel, as per the Word, Jesus spoke
"A must needs to go through Samaria."

From the beginning, there was purpose and a plan that evolved, not unlike the plan and purpose that He has for us, we being sheep and He as our Shepherd. So many things keep us apart. We will go longer routes so we don't have to bridge any gaps. We might even sit in different place in church or go to another church, so you want have to sit by certain people. Jesus was there to break those barriers down.
It wasn't by chance that Jesus was weary and sat down on the well, waiting.

The Woman drew closer and as she reached the figure, she breathes a sign of relief. He was a Jew. She had nothing to worry about. Jews did not socialize with the Samaritans let alone with a woman in public. Therefore, when Jesus spoke and asked her for a drink of water, she was startled. She then was sidetracked and asked things like how are you going to get water when you do not have a rope or bucket.
Jesus said if you only knew who I am and what I have to offer. I have a perpetual spring that flows from a fountain of everlasting life. Water that once you taste, you will never thirst again.

She wanted this water and told Him so. Jesus told her to go get her husband and she said 'I have no husband'. He said you are right you have had five husbands and the one that you are with now is not your own. The woman spoke," You must be a prophet". Her spiritual eyes were opened.
Jesus did not say much, but it had a monumental effect on the Woman and the city. He did not criticize her even though he knew everything about her. We can fully understand a compassionate God, when He did not ask for an explanation of her life-style, then perceive to tell her that Hell would be her home.
The Woman ran and told the people "'Come see a Man who told me everything about myself"'. She left the water jar, with a different objective, to give water or Word to others. She left one vessel and became the earthen vessel to spread the living Water.

I love this but just one thing, the first part and the last were really fabulous but the middle slowed me down a little. You have the craft of story telling. You don't have to offer explanantion because your writing is so wonderful as to provide exposition. I feel this is a wonderful way to teach a profpund lesson but this also has the makings of a wonderful short story that gives life and weight to one of the bibles wonderful stories.

This one is my favorite of the two I've read. I love the story in the message. The way you started it off appeals to the bookworm in everyone. It is so easy to get into it, not knowing that it is gospel related. Before you know it, even the Non-christian reader is already sucked in and reading the message behind the story. I love the approach, and of course, the message.
