Obviously any boost of caffeine will make you more alert and more at attention which is good because you need to be aware of your surroundings every second when in a game of Halo 3. You can't be running along in a daze and expecting someone to just come out in front of you. You need to be aware of snipers, rocket launchers and crazy folks on vehicles as well. Since Mountain Dew game fuel is giving you that added boost of caffeine, which will definitely play to your advantage. You don't necessarily need game fuel to get an added caffeine boost. Regular Mountain Dew and even energy drinks can even help you here but obviously soda will cost you less then an energy drink.
Many people say that Mountain Dew game fuel really does help them play better and this could be true but you also have other variables that come into play as well. I've had game fuel while playing and we totally dominated a team yet two rounds later we get run over. You could simply be playing a team that just isn't very good or you could be playing against the best. Personally I think that game fuel can add some perks but it's definitely nothing like the commercial makes it out to be. The caffeine is a nice bonus but you can find other forms of caffeine as well.
A lot of people say they really don't enjoy the taste of Mountain Dew game fuel but honestly I think it taste really good. It reminds of you of Mountain Dew of course but the added citrus makes it taste so much better. The amount of sugar in regular Mountain Dew alone is pretty high so your getting the same thing from Mountain Dew game fuel and then some plus some more caffeine too. I do not believe there is any form of diet Mountain Dew game fuel so if you want some added fuel for the gaming mind, your going to have to settle for the sugar and calories.
Bottom line, Mountain Dew game fuel does its job in giving you that caffeine boost but in terms of making you play better, I believe that completely depends on who your playing against and with. Some people live by game fuel and don't play Halo 3 without it, so bottom line is that it comes down to the individual. My opinion however, I saw it really don't have that big of effect but it sure makes for a good drink.

Post a CommentI like to go without eating and drinking for a few days and then play Halo 3. Mild starvation helps with my concentration.
Game Fuel was a limited time thing, not permanent. You can still find it in some places, but very few.
I think they need to bring back Pitch Black, Game Fuel, and keep all 3 DewMocracy beverages... Hell, bring back Pepsi Blue, and even Dr. Pepper Red Fusion. ¢¾ Bring 'em all back. Even Surge, just make it healthy. xD
